Even before a pitch was thrown Saturday, the New York Yankees apologized to their fans.

The Yankees displayed a sign by the customer service booth on the main concourse, explaining it wasn’t their fault Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Johnny Damon and Bernie Williams had departed for the World Baseball Classic.
“Thank you for expressing your concerns,†the sign stated. “We are sorry that certain players will not be present for portions of spring training. These players have elected to participate in the World Baseball Classic. The World Baseball Classic is an event sanctioned by the commissioner of Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association.

apoligized for what I dont think they would of won the world series this year any way its gonna be the white sox again.

George is angry = We're happy

Fatter and fatter each year, and a louder and louder thud when they come crashing down in October.... i love it more and more with each $50 million annual increase in payroll...

Perhaps before George dies, he'll be doling out half a billion per season...

That's the actual sign in Tampa.

Not sure if anyone else noticed it but the sign that was up in Tampa spelled "Yankees" wrong, someone is probably fired becuase of that one.

I am watching the WBC game between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela...John Kruk should never wear a shirt and tie..he looks just like Chris Farley in Tommyboy. I also can't stand Harold Reynold's voice...it is more grating than Tony Gwynn's.
