If we win next week we will be out one game then if in 2 weeks we could be tied with the last 2 weeks remaining this is wat has to happen take a look.

They can finish 8-8,9-7, or 10-6 which im not worried about this team we fighting for the last spot. But a key we need is a win against DEN

NYJ 7-5
Buff L, @MINY L,@MIA L, OAK W
They will end up 8-8 but a key game for us is when they play us

INDY L,@TEN W, NE L,@KC L
They will end up 8-8 but i dont know how they will fair against TEN because there on a roll now with V.Young and they probably got better DB's to stick there WR's. Also a Key game is the KC game they need to lose

Playoff hopes are never over until we reach that mathematically established point. But right now, realistically, they're pretty slim. But we should aim for a 9-7 record anyways to keep Saban's no losing season as a head coach streak alive.

Why do we need to aim for 9-7 just to satisfy a no losing streak. This is football. If we lose we lose. But all would not be lost if we did lose out. We would get better draft position which in turn would hopefully mean better players for the future. Right now as I see it we are done . Season is over. If we win more games great. But it they are basically meaningless unless we are going into post season. Which is highly unlikely.

Although I do not necessarily agree with throwing a Lemon out there right now. We do need to see some of the lesser players.

Once, I mean IF we are mathmatically eliminated, you will see Lemon. And you should, we need to know if he could be the future, if not we need to get rid of him and draft a qb with potential.

As my user title implies, I havent given up hope. Its not realistic, but hey, stranger things have happened. If there's a slim chance, then I'll maintain that hope. Regardless if they make the playoffs or not, it would be nice if they at least finished strong.

The only team I was/am worried about even if we would've only had 6 losses would've been the Jets because of their bullcrap schedule to end the year.

They tend to choke though, so I am hoping they do.

As long as Denver loses to SD and KC beats Oakland - and we all finish 9-7 - we're still ok. KC would have a better divisional record than Denver to eliminate them in the tie-breaker, and we own the head-to-head tiebreaker with KC.

As long as the Jets lose to Buffalo and to us and tie with us at 9-7, it's very possible that we would own the tie-breaker with them too (as long as we keep a better strength of victory). Since the divisional tie-breaker is done 1st on any 3 (or more) way ties, we could eliminate them at the get go.

So if we're tied with NYJ, KC, and Denver - at all 9-7 - we would get the spot (assuming the above happens). That means we would either need the Jags or Cincy to tank it at 8-8 - and the other one can finish 10-6.

[EDIT: Of course, that assumes that Pittsburgh, Tennessee, or Buffao doesn't also win out. They all would be in the mix if they do.]

oh my god you guys....cant your recognize a bad team when you watch it? We have played 4 decent games, and won those. We have played 8 horrible games and won 1 of those. 5-7. even if by the luck of hercules we got into the playoffs....can you say 62-7? We would get thumped on our pretty little dolphin heads.
