Philbin talked to interim head coach Todd Bowles Sunday and the message didn't exactly suggest the new coach is eager to retain Bowles. In fact, a source close to Bowles just told me he doesn't think the club's secondary/assistant head coach/interim head coach will return to the Dolphins.
He's not alone. Philbin is setting a course to revamp the Miami offensive staff. I was told not to expect too many coaches to be retained from that offensive staff.

One coach who is not expected to be retained is offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo. Philbin, a former offensive line coach, wants to instill his way of doing things and he obviouslyy wants his people. He has already reportedly reached out to fired Jacksonville offensive line coach Andy Heck. Googs, as he is affectionately called in the building, is headed to the New York Jets with longtime friend Tony Sparano, according to a source.

Wide receiver coach Steve Bush also is unlikely to return in Miami.

Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll had feelers from other teams after the regular season. The Dolphins denied him permission to interview elsewhere, according to a source. While his fate in Miami has not been sealed, it is a long shot he will return to the staff, according to a source.

Like I said in one of my posts, "miami should go nuclear."

Oh God not sources lol. As for feelers from other teams I have only read one team is looking to get Daboll and have heard of no other team pursuing him. KC would be a good oc job though to prove himself. As for Bowles Im pretty sure philben might have wanted him back as secondary coach but Im sure he wants a dc job, he definately isnt getting a head coach job. I do hope we keep Kacy Rogers who in my opinion has done a good job as a DL coach and wouldnt mind Dorrel back as WR coach.

Good to see Philbin is setting his own staff. Let him make his mark.

Can't say I'm disappointed to lose the o-line coach - what an underperforming unit considering the money and draft picks represented!

How is this possible though? I thought Bowles was part of the deal for anyone coming here?

A move that would continue to make our FO the laughing stock of the league.......disaster averted.

Maybe he was just to be considered but maybe Bowles was not contacted about this who knows I dont even care. Philben is a better choice than Mccoy even if that was the reason they chose him
