Sources: Ireland suggested that Martin confront Incognito physically

I'm not saying I necessarily believe the story, I'm saying that even if there's video of him doing it, people will still make excuses for him

But conversely, even if there is a credible party who steps in to dispute this story, or there is actual proof to the contrary offered (yeah right), people who want him fired will still insist that he did it.

I'm very skeptical of the Martin camp's motives here, but I kinda believe this report. Jeff just has a history of saying dumb things.

Im not sure i believe it. Though i absolutely want Ireland fired, regardless.

This is to bad. This is to stupid. While admittedly we havent handled this thing intelligently at all, this is to horrible even for our management.

But its kind of beside the point. The accusation is enough. Ireland will undoubtedly deny it, the agent will confirm it(maybe, who knows at this point), and the accusation will enough. I cant imagine Ross happy about all of this. He hasnt had a winning season since buying the team, he expected big things this year. And in return we struggle on the field then burn to the ground off it. The accusation(and those that follow) might be enough to finally, finally kill the Ireland beast.

Either way, im still maintaining hes staying until i actually see the bags packed. The man has inexplicably dodged other bullets.

Lots of liberals on this board. How's that $500 mil web site thing going? That's about the biggest disaster I've ever seen. Open checkbook and 3.5 years to get it done and once implemented the laughing stock of the country and no one gets fired....

All else fails, change the subject and go to politics, right?

Guys, have you all lost your mind......?

All of this should be non news and I'm being serious.

It's absolutely insane that people outside of football, whom have never been in a football locker room really view this as a "true" bullying case.

It is not....!

I do not know either player, but based on the facts, both of Martin's parents are graduates of Harvard, probably lawyers, and the Dolphins will probably be sued over a non-issue.

Jonathan Martin does not have the mental capacity to play in the NFL and is not emotional mature to handle the sheer brutality of the sport and he's now trying to blame Richie Incognito for losing it emotionally for leaving? Look the NFL is not for everyone, let Jonathan Martin walk.

The NFL is now being emasculated into a a flag football league and it sickens me.

Imagine if today Jimmy Johnson said, hey the asthma field is over there and cutting a player right there on the spot today.

Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs. Today, less than 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs.

The United States has the highest incarceration rate on the entire globe by a very wide margin. Overall, the U.S. has approximately 25 percent of the entire global prison population even though it only has 5 percent of the total global population. Men make up the vast majority of those that we are holding in our prisons. Is this not hard to believe?

According to the Pew Research Center, only 51 percent of all American adults are currently married. Back in 1960, 72 percent of all adults in the United States were married.

Players suing the league....?

In the old days, the NFL was simply a part time job, now its become a over-paid full time job with whinny cry babies like Martin?

Give me a break! But, what the hell is going on with our society?

The main culprits is the jail industrial complex. You think the NRA has power, the Jail Lobby's in the country are just as powerful..

I think the people who want him fired have wanted him fired a long time ago and none of this changes their opinion.

I do agree with you on that. Prison complexes are a huge cash cow and it has little to do with law and order.

Would directly contradict Philbin's first press conference, where he said neither he nor anyone on the Miami Dolphins had had it expressed to them by Jonathan Martin that he had any issues with the personal conduct of anyone on the team. Now maybe they went with some legalese there since it was Martin's agent, rather than Martin.

Anyway, this will be the story tomorrow. We're seeing some very staged point/counterpoint here between the team and Martin's camp, just as I thought there would be. Although there will be some he said/she said about what Martin specifically said to Philbin in their conversations, the presence of a third party here in the agent will give credence to Martin's side of the story in general.

The only part of this that hasn't been staged is the players' reactions. That was very genuine, and based on what the players are saying, not something Philbin wanted them to do.

There's a lot more to come, guys. I wonder whether we'll get some of these voicemails and texts tomorrow. I tend to think we'll get more than usual, rather than getting some tomorrow and Friday. As everyone who works in the news business and PR knows, no one pays attention to the news on Friday. They actually call it "Take Out the Trash Day". The West Wing even had an episode called that. Thursday is the last big TV day of the week until Sunday.

Well one, we don't know when before Oct. 28th that Martin's agent contacted Ireland and two, Ireland may not have disclosed this to Philbin because he didn't take the issue seriously. Probably thought to himself, "I drafted a pansy and he really needs to man up".

The only thing I know for sure is that this story changes by the minute...and it's changing dramatically not just little things but pretty significant things.

I think those people are going to be happy mere moments after the NFL investigation has been concluded.

So believe nothing that supports Martins claims, but believe everything from the Dolphins?

It's a big business, and many of you don't see what is happening before your very own eyes, in the country, by our media....?

Men's reputations are being slaughtered over insane ridiculous people who have nothing better to say.

I defend Richie Incognito, the man is innocent and is wrongfully being crucified by the media and idiots.

Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...Let it be true...

Please go to work tomorrow calling your coworkers niggas and see how it works out for you.

I wouldn't really matter though. Philbin said there had been no reports about improper behavior before then. Unless he specifies, it means ever.

Ireland may not have disclosed this to Philbin because he didn't take the issue seriously. Probably thought to himself, "I drafted a pansy and he really needs to man up".

Is that really that plausible, though? An agent calls up to complain that he thinks one of the players on the team is abusing his client and Jeff Ireland says, "just tell him to slug the guy" and after he hangs up he's like, "welp. Fixed that one" and forgets about it? I mean at minimum wouldn't he sort of want to alert his head coach that a couple of 300 pounders are about to take a trip to Fist City?

If it's true you do understand the franchise could be hit with some very hard sanctions?
