Sources: Owens resents Romo's relationship with Witten

According to multiple sources within the Dallas Cowboys, there is an emerging internal conflict involving three of the team's highest-profile stars.

As the preseason Super Bowl favorites struggle in the final month of the season to simply make the playoffs, wide receiver Terrell Owens has expressed resentment toward Tony Romo, apparently jealous of the quarterback's relationship with tight end Jason Witten.
Owens feels that Romo and Witten -- close friends and road roommates who came to Dallas in the same offseason -- hold private meetings in which they create plays the two will use in upcoming games without including Owens in the conversations, according to a source who speaks regularly with Owens' teammates. Owens believes these discussions have worked to his detriment as Romo seeks to deliver the ball to Witten regardless of whether Owens is open.

If this story is accurate, I think how Owens places his concerns on how it is a detriment to his production is pretty typical. I would be more sympathetic if he had said he believed that it was costing the team wins. The only thing I like about Owens is he pushed Parcells out of Dallas and into our laps.

I wonder how much the media is making mountains out of molehill though ?

I miss the ole T.O. back when he would dance at mid feild and former fin laid a hit on him while dancing at the dallas star in midfield.

They didnt win one after he left to.
touche!

And what if Dallas goes down as the only team not to win a SB after a Parcells era? Is Jerry Jones turning into the same tpye of owner as the crypt keeper? (AKA Al Davis)

Parcells does a good job. Though what have the Jets won? It's hard for me to imagine that the 2007-2008 Giants were built by Parcells. Even the Patriots SB's were a product of finding one of the greatest players in Tom Brady.

I think Steinbrenner is a better comparision to Jones.

Having TO on your team is equivalent to smoking 5 packs of Marlboros a day.

Go figure.

Why am I not the least bit surprised at any of this? I'm very critical of Joey Porter and the things he says to the media, etc., but thank God he's not the gutterball that this guy is. Owens goes from team to team, opens his mouth and turns a franchise into a dumpster fire on the spot. I was watching SportsCenter last night and I hear that Ownes, Roy Williams, and another player each had private sit-downs with Jason Garrett so that they can complain about the production of the offense and Romo's "apparent" bias for tight end Jason Witten? Terrell Owens forces his own teammates to pick a side after he divides the locker room. I love me some me is right. What a cry baby.

I don't know why people expect anything different. Everything is fine when they are throwing to him 15 times a game, but the minute someone else is looked at slightly more than he is, the QB is an talentless A-Hole.

He is good at manipulating people into thinking what he wants them to think. He has the entire receiving corps and a few DBs (according to Ed Werner) against Romo and Witten.

With all that said, once he has burnt all the bridges in Dallas, we will still have people on this website saying that the Dolphins should pick him up.
