I use their iPad apps and don't have to pay for it. I was driven to the app for the same reason.

there's another way to bypass the subscription pop up if you are using Firefox or IE. I was deleting the cookies at first but it was becoming a pain in the buns to have all the history for previous log in info on other sites wiped out. Now I do the following...

View > Page Style > No Style

Once you start scrolling down, you'll find the article in simple text stripped away from all the html fanciness of the page. Only works for the Sentinel and Miami Herald, not PBP

Newspapers are quickly running out of business. I know because I'm about to graduate this year and one of my majors is journalism. Great choice, right? Lol. But anyways, a lot of people would just read online since the stories came out instantly and for FREE. This caused print subscriptions to suffer badly. Thus, having to charge for online content.
