Yeah Tony Sparano is like 100 times the coach that Rex Ryan is and prob many times what he will ever be. You can call be bias but most of us can tell how good of a coach a guy is in 6 weeks. Ryan is a front runner and loves when he is winning, but is all sad and plays the blame and finger pointing game when things are iffy.

In the press conference today Ryan is all...you cant win when your QB throws 5 picks totally basically calling out his rookie QB...Ryan never blames himself or his staff....last week it was that damn "gimmicks" fault screw the fact that dolphins played with more intensity and Henne out shined your sissy boy QB by leaps and bounds, it wasnt Henne playing well it was HIS DEFENSIVE PLAYERS making him look good, thats right. I think he did say he didnt have them prepared like they should have been so while he did say that he puts alot of the blame on the players.

he always has excuses and never says well we game planned bad....OR GET THIS THEY BEAT US.

I can remember Sparano being well we didnt play well they beat us we have some things to work on me and the staff will work hard this week to put our guys in better positions. Like totally humble and a hard worker and intense and it rubs off.

TS would have not mentioned the INT's he would have been well we didnt play well on that side of the ball we coughed it up and when you dont execute you lose and we didnt execute and i give props to them for taking advantage of our mistakes.

Sadly the hissy fit get depressed after 1 bad play is rubbing off from REXY to his jest team. Good luck jets fans you prob should have selected more wisely BP interviewed and rejected Ryan HMMMMM maybe somethign wasnt right.

OH did anyone hear Jim Kelly mentioned in the press conference just checking to see if another HOF QB decided to come out of retirement and beat the jest this week LOL :lol2:

To be fair, Ryan did blame himself last week, and gave us props eventually. But I see your point, and right now, I'd take TS over anyone! He has so much passion for the game, without becoming a complete football head, and he really respects having a relationship with each player for this team.

he will slowly but surely become the self fulfilling prophecy that is his father. watching the jets on sundays have once again become interesting - piece by piece that team will fall apart.

the thing i love is look at all the talent that ryan inherited - and then think about what sparano started with. awesome.

You are right he did take blame but like you said EVENTUALLY.....being humble and knowing when you are beat is a key to longevity in this league.

He needs to show some toughness and start shouldering more of teh blame if the jest want out of this tailspin

I love tony for the simple reason that he gets the best out of his players and that when things go wrong, he does not go away from what works for him.

Within three years time Ryan will be working as a defense coordinator some where.

we may as well just start calling them "the jet" since they've already gotten the "s" kicked out of them@

We're going to cream them in the Meadowlands in two weeks.

Several fans reported seeing Ryan throw the challenge flag after Thomas Jones scored and that Leon Washington picked it up and handed it back to him. What a moron!!!!!!

yes he did haha....

anyway i think a coaches atitude rubs off on players

u can see this with a lot of teams. look how balitmores defense is.

i think u see with players pointing fingers, sulking on the sidelines and after games, calling out teams who just beat you, throwing punches at ppl...this is all a direct reflection of how rex is. I still think he can be a good coach n he did something for the jets more than the flat mangini could, but i truely wonder if his mentality is going to be the ultimate unraveling of this jet team this year. esp in ny.

Yeah this dude is an idiot, and can only be the D coorfinator for teams. He clearly doesn't have the "it" factor to become a head coach. That challenge in the 4th to save 6 yards was laughable. Then keeping the 2 time outs in our game and everything else. He can blitz alright, but that's where it ends.

Rex is deconstructing into Buddy even faster than Buddy did!

Ozzie Newsome < a good understanding of "The Peter Principle"
