well he did a hell of a job preparing them for last week.

If he can do much of the same over these next two weeks we'll be even better agianst those Bolts.

and it paid off against the Pats. we still have alot of work to do as a team in rebuilding and we'll get there, but i'm gonna enjoy this MUCH needed win.

Very good read. I hope he is able to pump them back up for SD. As they looked last night like the caught their stride again.

Its going to be a tough game, We are definately going to be tested in every area of our team.

Between the prep and the confidence the players gained, the SD game should be interesting.

Hopefully they can get used to being there. He's got the first win out of the way, now let's keep on adding to it.

If he did that well with only one week to prep coming off an embarrassing loss...Imagine what he is gonna do riding a high after whooping some Patriot *** and two weeks to get ready. The chargers better be ready i think we will have a few more wrinkles on both sides of the ball.

This is another game that I believe......much like the Pats game.....if they can produce and play sound we can steal.

What I'm nervous about is the fact we won using some trickery.......I'm not a firm believer that it plays like that will win long term.

But we will see.

This is a strong Sentiment around the league, Aside from the RB pass to AF, i really dont see this formation as Trickery imo. It's just a seldom used formation in the NFL because it truly needs specific players to run it correctly.

Its a tough formation to run succefully. I think of it like the 3-4 defense. Not everyone runs it cause its really hard to find the right players to run it correctly. Most Defenses around the league that we call a 3-4 defense dont really run 3-4 ever play of every game they normally run a 3-4 4-3 variant.

This is what I think of the WildHog/WildFin Formation. Cant be succefull every play every game, but I dont see it being a problem about 10-15% of our Offensive plays. If run correctly we have about 5-7 different plays we can run from it, each having 3-4 options each. Your talking a good 10-15 plays worth. Use it till they learn to stop it.

Great point Chubbs....i think we will run it say 10%-15% of the time but if it is working well we will use it until they stop it....but by no means should we run it a majority of the time. With all the possibilities and people we can use within it opposing defenses may never get a grasp to stop some big play out of it. With it in playbook the defense has to wonder if the right personnel is out there because the fins could break the huddle and Chad could go out wide or go under center. The more you make a defense think the more success you will have.

I agree 100%

Hopefully the trickery was just to get the ball rolling, and to build some confidence, also it gives teams more to prepare for. I just hope we don't go to the well to often though.

I agree with that. I just think that with the knowledge and skill level in the NFL, it is tough to get the consistant results we saw last Sunday. Can it still be successful? Yes. I'm a strong believer that any play no matter how complex or simple if run perfectly works.

I still view the style as trickery as we have never shown those plays before. So indeed it did trick the Pats pretty awefully.

I do see your point regarding it as an offensive set and thinking about it how many teams have some facet of the West Coast Offense in it or a spread? Knowing that that's not the primary or overall view or game plan of said offense. Probably every team taking the field every Sunday.

It definatly gives us more depth and more for teams too prepare for.

This isn't the most talented roster in the NFL by any means, but they will play fundamentally sound football.

LMAO........

Seem they DID practice practice for the unbalanced line!:sidelol:

Gimmick plays didn’t surprise

Patriots coach Bill Belichick made an interesting admission with respect to the gadget play the Miami Dolphins used again and again to embarrass his team’s defense. Not only had the Pats seen it before, but they had practiced against the unconventional formation while preparing for the New York Jets two weeks ago.
