Just thought of this and it's kind of crazy after one year.

let's not get ahead of ourselves, I remember people were saying the same thing about Saban after one year, it didn't turn out well in the end. don't get wrong, I really like Sparano but imo the team needs to be consistently good for some years before he is considered the second best. I do think he will get there though.

If you had to rank em. He's no.2 not getting ahead of myself. Who would be no.2 to you? Just reality to me that he's already number 2 is all.

If we talk about potential, then yeah I think he ranks N° 2 But I'd rather wait til we win a playoff game before ranking him.

If you had to pick the no.2 coach of the phins All time, as of today, who would you say? It's definitely sparano. Who would you say?

I like Sparano just from his animated passion on the sidelide. The fans at the home game need to starting doing a synchronized Sparano Fist Pump on big plays.

From what I've seen I'd say Sparano but things change too quickly in the NFL. If we have a losing season this year I might rank him differently. Consistency is the key.

I know Jimmy under performed but he still built a hell of a defence so I still got him ahead by a notch

The fact that this is even a subject is more of a testament to Coach Shula then anything else

Geroge Wilson won an NFL Title game by 45 points. He also acquired many of the core players responsible for the Perfect Season and subsequent championship.

sparano seems like a maniac i really thought he was gonna hit hillard after he fumbled

i really do wonder how he is when players talk to him normal off gameday.

For me taking a team at 1-15 and turning them into an afc east crown and pumping new life into south Florida is the best thing any coach has done since Shula for me. And I agree all this just shows how amazing Shula was as a coach.

I was listening to The Big O earlier and agree with him that Sparano's confrontational sideline style is a breath of fresh air compared to a few of his predecessors who'd clap their hands, pat the player on the butt and in the PC write the screw ups off as valuable learning experiences. Coach Tony's intensity breeds personal accountability. Gotta love that little meatball!
