Let not talk about Ginn for a change.

Last game Sparano called a time out so that the other team had a chance to line up and scored a TD with few seconds left. This week he mistakenly called a 2 point conversion. There also been a few times last season he mismanaged time out, although I can not remember the specific games.
Sparano is a tough discipline coach and a much welcome change compare to coaches we had of late.
But as a game day coach, he still has much to learn.

Agreed, BUT: maybe he called the 2pt conversion intentionally? We've seen this staff go 'different' ways, so he might think a 2pt conversion here and there could go a long way in building confidence for this team. Granted it didn't work this time but what if it had worked? The experts would be all over him, praising him for giving his group a boost of confidence or whatever.

I think it was an 'interesting' thing to go for 2 here as well but to be honest I didn't really mind. If we were to win that game, the defense had to step up one way or the other.

32 minus 19 = 13 points, that's a touchdown and two field goals. He called the two point conversion purposely just in case.

oh lord sparano did fine the announcers kept saying what a great job the fins coaching staff did on situational calls. I like sparano alot i hope hes around for a long long time.

I understand why we went for 2, it was just poor execution.

Sparano's TO against the Saints he admits was his fault. He thought they were going for the TD when they were setting up for a FG and didn't have the right personel out for that. Yeah our teams have weaknesses, but I see our team doing more good than bad.

What perfect timing to work on a 2 point play, might just need to make one of those to win a game later and it doesn't get any tougher than @ the Jests.

That's really sad nit picking, he's doing a great job. He sent a message to Ginn and got results, he sent a message to Wilson and he had his best game. Good coaching period.

Exactly, was a good call at the time even if it didnt appear to make sense.

If we make the 2 point conversion we put that much more pressure on Sanchez to make more mistakes trying to catch up, it would also boost morale of the offense at that time since they where looking pathetic.

And if we miss, which we did, we make it possible for the Jets to tie the game with just a single TD (+2) and a FG. I don't know if i'd go as far as to question Sparano's gameday coaching ability in general, but he's definitely shown reasons for serious concern in the last two weeks.

sparano is now 3-1 against the jets, so screw it the man can do what he wants

Not nit picking at all.
Of cause we are happy for the win, but it should not gloss over apparent problems,

Was Henne holding onto the ball too long
Why running game disappeared
Our young CBs always in place to make a play but always got out-fighted by WRs.
Cam and Hartline, where were you
Why play calling became so vanilla, and shut down after we got a lead
...and Sparano, game day management?

Legit questions.

How much kool-aid do you have to drink to think that was a good call?? One point forces them to get in the endzone twice to get the lead. Not getting any point allows the possibility of a touchdown & field goal tying you. VERY obvious & simple football math.

Not saying it's a good call, but people here think everyone has to be perfect all the time or they jump all over them. I don't understand the need to be negative all the time, it was a great win under the conditions.
