Rather than dwell on those obvious but fixable flaws — like the two interceptions and the miscommunications — Sparano actually seemed more concerned about a few other areas: the offensive line and the running game. When it comes to both of those units, it became clear that getting this team on the same page is going to take some time. Just how long will remain the big question moving forward.

“At the end of the day, it takes a lot longer than seven practices to build continuity within your line or communication amongst quarterback and receivers or any of those things,” Sparano said.
“A lot longer.”

Leave the starting O-line in until we get atleast a 5 yd rush i dont even think i seen that the whole time the starting O-line was out there. Very Concerning

It's didn't take longer than that for the Falcons.

If I see one more excuse comment, I'm gonna puke!!!

Let's stop making excuses and start fixing the problems.

Pouncey is a LG not a C.
Incognito can't pull so he's better off at G.
Carey has to stay at RT.
We need someone new for RG b/c Jerry is looking busty and all the others are backups.
Sign O'Hara immediately, line up these guys in these spots:

LT Long
LG Pouncey
C Incognito
RG O'Hara
RT Carey

And then just don't F with it!!!

Well, unfortunately that's not happening. Wish in one hand and **** in the other and see which one fills up first.

If we did what the Seahawks did and signed Z. Miller and R. Gallery instead of ****ty Columbo we would be a much much better team right now.

You talk about not F'ing with the offensive line, yet you want to put a guard (Incognito) at center, a career center (O'Hara) at guard, and the guy who's practiced and played at center for the past two years (Pouncey) at guard?

I'll politely take your opinion and trash it.

when Jake gets back a lot of problems should be eased due to having an elite LT. But otherwise, there shouldn't be much tinkering. I'd probably give Murtha an outright chance to win the RT job, but otherwise keep everything as is

When will Jake be lifted off the PUP?

Murtha needs time at RT if they intend to give him the job.

Sparano loves using that "at the end of the day" line..

Reporter: Sparano what were you thinking when carpenter missed that field goal?
Sparano: Ive seen carpenter make those kicks in my sleep at the end of the day he makes that 9 times out of 10
Reporter: were you ready to fistpump had carpenter made the kick?
Sparano: At the end of the day if i dont fistpump then it going to take a while you dont fistpump over 7 practices it takes a long time..
Reporter: Whos fault was that second interception henne or bess?
Sparano: at the end pf the day it is not about throwing somebody under a bus those things are quite fixable bess run the wrong route..

Ah the wisdom of the great oline guru. Hard to have a running game Tony when the back is getting met in the hole every play.

Lmao!! it is hard to get a straight answer from tony

Guys you know if we cant run conventional
that TOnys back up plan is to run the wildcat with Thomas
Thats the main reason we traded up to get thomas because he can do a few extra things..

I would not be shocked if they try it vs new england

Were the Falcons missing their star LT? Did they move their RT inside to Guard? Did they have a rookie at Center? Did they have a guy who is new to our team for less than 2 weeks playing RT? If they did, then by all means, I understand your point... If they didn't, your opinion is not valid.

I wouldnt be shocked if NE blew us out if that happened lol

We should acquire O'Hara if he is willing to join the circus. He will give us a veteran center. We cannot assume that Pouncey will be game ready on week one. Pouncey can spell O'Hara (if he signs) or Incognito(if he doesn't) at center until he is up to speed, gradually increasing his playing time. It takes a couple of years to make a capable center.
We should be shopping for a RT and a RG too. Carey looks like he is going to put his career on cruise control...I don't see any fire in him.
Jerry looks like a bust, Berger is injury prone and not very good, Colombo has not shown anything yet and probably never will. Sparano is in love with his memories of Colombo's playing days in Dallas. These guys are pure garbage IMHO
On the bright side, Murtha and Garner look like they can be solid back ups.
Ireland...get some more OL players in here...fast.
