He said, Look it was 46 yards so that was no gimme. The special teams was basically held together with duct tape and bailing wire they were so banged up. If they miss the F.G then they lose 8 yards anyway so he went for the win then he said he had faith in his defense. Sounds good to me.

Personally, I would of pooch punted it then. Put them even farther back. But I agree about not kicking the FG.

yeah i was thinking he was gonna pooch it.....but yeah if you miss or the play gets busted you are looking at a very short field play to end it there. I still think he should have pooched it but hey it worked out in the end.

I dont think it was the greatest call but in not gonna bash him like most people on here will. We were getting 3 yard a carry most of the night he thought we could pick it up we didnt the panthers tried and failed to score game over dolphins win move on to a 10 day break to kick the **** out of the bills

I would have run the ball with Ricky in the backfield. You don't get it, stop them on their last drive. Period

People are going to complain about anything they can..
Me I like to enjoy a ice cold beer watch the replay and enjoy being 500 with the bills coming up

I'm not overly pissed about the call. And I agree with not kicking a FG. Personally, I feel we should of pooch punted it to make them drive 90 or so yards.

Well...it's not like in week 2 when Sparano trusted his defense to stop Manning...we all know how that turned out.

This time it was Delhomme with only 44 seconds and no Timeouts.

No doubt it was the right call but the wrong play. Especially with Ricky on the side line.

I was calling for the field goal as Carp has been automatic this year and if you miss it you only give up 8 yds. Nonetheless I am not bothered by the call to go for it or even the actual 4th down play it was the dive to Polite (who by the blocked his butt off last night) on 3rd down. If you are thinking of going for it on 4th he has to call a better play on 3rd than a play designed to pick up 1-2 yds.t

i think it was a good situation to go for it. the FG would have given us a 10-point lead, which would have basically ended the game. but a lot of things can go wrong on a FG. missing it wouldn't even be the worst. we missed an XP against the Bucs last week. the Panthers might have blocked this try. given the score and game situation, they would have gone after it pretty hard IMO.

a pooch punt would have given our defense a longer field, but we were at the 28 anyway. the chance of a touchback on that punt would have been pretty high. so, that's a net gain of 8 yards.

The pooch punt made the most sense. All Fields had to do was kick it 20 yards and that would have given them a longer field to go against. From that lenght he would have no way out kicked the coverage and someone would have prevented it from being a touchback, if it wasn't fair caught.

It wasn't as if John Denney got banged up. If that was the case I would have understood going for it on 4th down.

you never know. the ball can take a funny bounce on a punt. it happens quite frequently.

I agree with not kicking the FG.

However, i would have liked to see a playaction and tried to complete it in the air, its not like running the ball would have run more clock out if it was an incompletion, so it wouldnt have mattered. They stacked the line, would have been good time for it.
