Sparano: 'I don't have any answers...'

there comes a moment, when under the stresses of life and the pressure of a given moment… the subconscious takes over and verbalizes the soundtrack of one's "inner monologue"… it's the veil opening, and the truth of the mind being revealed. he said, in the moment, what he truly believes.

he's baffled. he has no answers. and what's more troubling; somewhere inside, he's shutting down.

What do you want him to say right after an emotional loss? Give the guy a chance to puke in his mouth a couple of times and watch some film before he sees what needs to be done.....any coach that has all the answers right after a loss needs to be fired......

You're actually right on with this but all he'll say when asked about this game after reviewing the tape is "On to Cleveland". I don't think the HC/staff/players owe the media or fans an explanation on what they're doing to improve or how they're fixing things but when you give shifty answers you can't fault media/fans for saying your incompetent and I truly believe, as most of us do, that he is.

i doubt we'll lose enough to get luck but we'll see...likely a lot of teams tanking at the end of the year to get in position though...that would make all this worth it though...hennes been solid but he can't do enough in the red zone...he's limited in the red...lucks money in the red zone

as for hc and gm we need to get rid of them both...i'm done with ireland also...go get cowher and let him make the decision on who runs personnel

I was with you until you said COWHER. COWHER's antiquated too. And he's been away too long. Besides, he's a DEFENSIVE mind. We need a HC who is an OFFENSE-minded Pro. With that parameter in mind, any ideas?

As a footnote, IF HENNE does well (as he has), even in losing efforts, how do we justify drafting LUCK, or any of the top QBs in the 2012 Draft for that matter?

As for right now, I'd give serious thought to firing SPARANO immediately, and let DABOLL or NOLAN be the interim HC. I'd also fire IRELAND, if DONALD DUCK (a clear upgrade) was available.

Tony's having his day after press conference now. He looks tired, defeated. Kind of like he stayed up all night.

That is a fair enough point (especially the puking part). In fact, I'd probably puke if I had to listen to any of Sparano's post game drivel. Nevertheless, I've followed this team since I moved to Homestead in 1976 (35 years). I've had season tickets in years past and I still go to a few games a year. In addition, I've gotten up at crazy hours of in the middle of the night while I was living and working in South Korea and the Middle East to watch this team. Even more recently, I live in Maine and have tried to stay loyal to the fins, despite the fact that I'm surrounded by chowder heads who continually chastise me on a daily basis about how great and classy the Patriots organization is. What bothers me is that Sparano's admission that he had no answers actually speaks volumes. Someone like Belicheat would have at least claimed responsibility for this mess as it is the coach's (and GM's) responsibility. Sparano doesn't even have the sense to do that. He just mumbles on about how he doesn't know why things aren't going their way and that he doesn't have any answers. That is unacceptable and defeatist and it sounds an awful lot like Wanny and Cam Cam all over again. These clowns are alienating some of their most loyal and long-time fans. How can I proudly pass down my love of the fins onto my kids with this nonsense? Why should I spend any more of my hard earned money on this cra*p? I will always love the fins, but they will not get another dime out of me until they fix this nonsense. Someone mentioned "Fire Sparano/Ireland" billboards like they did in Buffalo in another post - now that is something I would support!
