Sparano: Jimmy Wilson is a cornerback

Whatever he is, he makes plays, and I like guys who make plays. I can definitely see him becoming a very good nickel CB for us.
 
Sapp played really well in coverage too. Allen's gone. It's Sapp vs Wilson for the nickel spot.
 
I don't care if he's a CB, SS, FS, DT or DE the guy is a play maker.
 
After that safety blitz by Clemons last night, I think Bell is trade bait to any team desperate for a starting quality stopgap at strong safety. In all honesty, I'd push really hard to trade Bell and a draft pick to the Lions for Delmas.

So you think because of the play of Clemons that we should trade Bell for another Safety?? Im confused
 
As others said he'll be listed as a corner but he'll probably be moved around, presumably where he can knock someone's head off, dude is ballin, proud of my Montana boys!!
 
That would be a smart move to trade Bell at this point in his career for a 3rd rd pick at lease. Lets start planning for next year draft. Could use that pick to move up next year. Have to stay ahead of the game.

I think Clemons is a fit at strong safety, which is Bell's position. I'm saying if the Lions would accept a one-for-one trade for Louis Delmas, who is a free safety and a freakin ballhawk, then the Fins' secondary is set for a good while.
 
I would assume the final decision on how to use Jimmy falls rests with Nolan, not Tony - at least if Tony has the least modicum of smarts.
 
This kid has the "it" factor you look for in football players. Can't describe it but you know he will be in this league for a long while. He can play
 
Bell is a leader of this secondary i highly doubt they will trade him this season. but clemons / jones will be a nice duo in the next 2 or 3 seasons
 
Sure Tony......and Pouncey is a center.......and Carey is a guard......sure.......

Now I know for sure that Wilson should've been moved to FS. He looks the part, has the ball skills and size/speed and THAT'S WHERE WE NEED HIM.

Just like we know Pouncey (who struggles with shotgun snaps) should be the LG (not C), and Incognito (who can't pull to save his life) should be the C (not LG). And Carey who also is too slow at this point to pull, should go back to RT (not RG).

Am I supposed to trust Sparano on this one?!?!?!?
 
I remember when yerimiah 1st came into the league
he was a twig always injured and he turned that around making plays and beefed up..

though 34 is grandpa status in the NFL it is good to know we have jimmy wilson
He has potentiol to make a big play every game..
