ESPN had an interview with somebody last night (I can't remember) and they went over coaches who are 0-2 and might be on the "Hot Seat" and they didn't even mention Sparano! They mentioned Haley in K.C. and Caldwell in Indy but not Sparano......I guess the F.O. is as clueless as the coach is! I have no other explanations. At this point we need somebody who can get a level 3 player to play at a 4 level and a 4 to play at a 5 and so on.......A master motivator, manipulator etc, Sparano is none of the above........:rolleyes2:

It's because he's not even allowed to sit down anymore.

ESPN is not Ross or the front office. If they don't have a winning record they will not be back.

Relax. The writing is on the wall. Just because some puppet at ESPN does or doesnt say something about a subject is meaningless. Sparano should seek employment there because he will fit right in.

He's been on the hot seat ever since Dolphins tried to sign Jim Harbaugh. Its not even a question. A playoff 'victory' might save Sparano, but just a playoff appearance might not be good enough.

if this team somehow came back this year and made the playoffs, im pretty sure his job would be saved, even if he didnt win a game.

Im not even discounting the Dolphins season yet. I think they can still manage a .500 or above season, and with colts and KC out of any playoff contentions (as it seems like) this yr, Dolphins might be able to sneak in with a 9-7 record (Its hard to envision Dolphins going 10-4 for the rest of the season. 10-6 would most likely be enough for a playoff spot though). But a first round loss will most likely bring this era to an end.

Indy and KC have been humilliated in defeat. They've also each faced a supossedly easy team. We've remained competitive through two games against quality opponents. It's not even close.

i would have no problem with this era coming to an end, even if we did make the playoffs, but i just dont see ross firing sparano if we somehow were able to rebound and make the playoffs.

it could happen, and again, i wouldnt mind it one bit, because i think in the long run sparano is not right for the job, but they had their chances to fire him, after the 09 season, and especially after this past year when they easily could have pulled the trigger, yet they opted to give him one more chance. so i just dont see him being canned if we made the playoffs regardless win or lose in the playoffs. then again, the odds of us making the playoffs now are not exactly the best.

Yes, he was on the hot seat as soon as he received his contract extention.

I can't believe we're going to be looking for another coach once again.
Maybe this time they'll hire a good one this time? It's a pretty easy funk to get into when get a guy who clearly wants to remain retired (JJ) who gives the job to a proven failure through sheer cronyism (Wanny), then give it to a college coach who clearly doesn't want to coach in the NFL but is essentially rich-guy nagged into taking the job (Saban), then give it to an OC who only looks good because he is loaded with talent already (Doucher McGee), then give it to an offensive line coach clearly knows nothing about offensive lines.

Where did we go wrong? Everywhere. I'm praying I'm wrong about Ross and he proves capable of hiring a good HC. Either way, there is no chance it's Sparano.

First off Caldwell isn't going anywhere he lost one of the best QBs in history with ZERO time to repair the situation.Second our own flaming dumpster is gone! Short of winning the division and a couple playoff games this entire overrated regime of Parcells garbage is getting taken to the curb! They were given a kings ransom and the keys to the kingdom, and in return we got a roster full of slow, quiters that don't even have the pride or professionalism to play with heart at home!Third Ross is a big ear martian! He will monkey **** this coaching search! AGAIN!
