Sparano opening flood gates again

I just want to see Matt Moore get in the lineup with Brandon Marshall, Brian Hartline and Devone Bess and we will see once and for all who is the better QB.

any half decent TE catches that first ball. The second was on Henne. you can say it was a mistake by Bess all you want, but Henne was locked onto him from the get go, and made the throw.

it blows my mind how people try to rationalize their thoughts to make whatever they say trump another. Matt Moore threw a perfect pass? the coverage doesn't get much better. Where only his receiver can get it? result...INT.
Both QB made some mistakes. it was also preseason game number 1. im not ready to unseat Henne yet, but give me the QB who will better help our team and i will root for him.

How did the media blow it out of porportion? SPARANO SAID IT!!! If you don't say it, they can't analyze it. They can't protect Tony from himself. The media isn't the friend of the Dolphins or are supposed to protect them. They aren't cheerleaders trying to protect the team. They have a job to do.

If the media just reports what Sparano says, they aren't blowing it out of porportion. They are doing the job they get paid for!

Did all the people who hate Henne see that Fasano caused the first INT and the second was an error by Bess on the route. Moore had a pretty ugly INT as well.

I agree on the Fasano INT but that als washes out Moore's INT that hit his WR in his hands.

That leaves Henne's 2nd int. We can give all the excuses in the book. The fact is that you nor I know what Route Bess was supposed to run. Maybe he ran a bad route mybe he didn't.

Whether his fault or not, one thing is certain. Bad luck or negative plays seem to happen when Chad Henne is the QB

Moore's interception was far from an "ugly" interception. He was under extreme duress and threw a perfect deep pass to receiver who was bracketed by two defenders. The ball hit the receiver's hands but the defenders hit him so fast that he didn't have time to pull it in, and instead the ball was tipped in the air and intercepted. I agree with you about the Fasano interception, but the problem I have with Henne is he just does not look like the type of QB that can be anything more than a journeyman backup. I think the best Henne can hope to be is Sage Rosenfels and that just isn't even close to being good enough. Did you guy's see Colt McCoy last night? I was completely wrong about him when he came out last year. I thought he didn't come close to possessing the physical tools necessary to win in the NFL, but if you saw the way he set himself in the pocket, the way he looked off the safety, and the way he scanned the field and made quick decisions you can't help thinking Chad Henne has never looked like that, and Chad was a higher pick in the draft and he has two years more experience than McCoy. McCoy reminded me of Drew Brees. I'm not ready to proclaim McCoy as a franchise QB yet, but I am definitely ready to proclaim that Chad Henne will never be one.

You call it bracketed by two defenders, i'll call it forcing a ball into double coverage.

Nah....I was too busy watching John Jerry down big macs like sliders on the sideline.

(The guy we passed on McCoy for in round 3 last year.)

i dont know, Henne's ball was picked because fasano dropped the ball. Moore's ball was picked because there was good coverage on the play.
I'm not defending Henne and not blasting Moore. Neither ball was placed perfectly but Henne's pick was a result of a dropped pass, whereas good coverage and maybe a questionable decision resulted in Moore's interception. I'll place sole responsibility on Henne when talking about his second interception. He locked onto Bess from the snap...wrong route or not.

Best line of the article right here.

"Of course, in the opinion of plenty of Dolphins fan the best thing Matt Moore has going for him is that he isn’t Chad Henne."

Exactly my opinion, only, Matt Moore has actually looked solid so far so that's a bonus.

But to be honest I'd play Kevin O'Connell over Henne right now. Yes I think Henne is that ****ty!

Also, if there is not a QB competition, then Sparano should be fired immediately. What the **** has Henne done to earn the starting position out right in previous years?

u would play o connell over henne? so then we truly would be suck for luck right? thats the end game for ya right?

This is completely true. It could also be completely true that it was a vanilla play designed in preseason where bess was the only real option to go to. If you look at the entire screen, all i could see was red jerseys all over the field. So Hartline was probly covered in a simple pattern. What henne should have done is just tuck it and run. He needs to do more of that on early downs. But this play was a simple play that just was a sign of the past. boring play reminiscent of henning type plays.

Well, the way I see it, without being biased (unlike some in here, not you though) both Moores and Hennes passes either hit the WR'S hands and or their chest. Both should have been caught. Can't fault Henne on his pass and can't fault Moore either. Anyone faulting Moore means a QB shouldn't trust his WR and only throw to wide open guys. They both threw passes that should have been caught.

The only bad pass was Henne's 2nd int. I highly doubt people stating it was a bad route ACTUALLY have the game film and know exacly what play was called. I just laugh when certain people claim "After looking at the game film" haha like Sparano went after the game and said "Here you go just for you buddy"

Fasano dropping the ball thrown right at his chest was Henne's fault according to some on here. That makes complete sense

Have seen that replayed several times and it did hit Fasano in the hands but he had to reach back for it slightly. Now that should be caught but the fact is Fasano was running sideways and a well thrown pass leading him would have resulted in a good gain but Henne didn't do that. Another example of that is when Bess made that sick catch on the swing pass. If Henne leads him like pretty much any other QB would Bess has huge gain. On the Bess INT there was a man underneath and a man over the top and another in the vicinity. I don't care what route Bess ran he should not have been the intended target. How and why there are so many Henne apologists is beyond me. Henning held back the offense and people are saying give Chad a chance he wasn't at fault. I say Henning was what he was because of Chad's lack of ability and the first few games will show that. He will be benched for good early this season if not before it starts. He is garbage!

You have never seen a good QB make a completion to a receiver who is bracketed by two defenders before? Tom Brady does it all the time. Do you think that receivers are going to be running free from blown coverages, like the touchdown pass to Hartline, on every play. In the NFL, good QB's make tough throws into tight windows. The fact is Moore threw a perfectly accurate pass deep down the middle of the field with a heavy pass rush right in his face

Do anyone realize this is going to be the first time since Fiedler we had the same starting Qb for more than one year. Wow. But of course, we have a new OC. The problem with the Dolphins more than anything is lack of continuity. Every year we are changing something, I.E head coach, gm. DC, OC, Qb. etc.
