Sparano Press Conference (8-3-09)

What I got so far from the first half of it....

Said they are investigating Matt Roth's illness. He told the coach that something isn't right and he feels sick. They took some blood tests. It's still a wait and see thing.

reporter asked about his agent saying he has a groin injury. Sparano said that it's the first time he's heard of it. Then he said I trust what Matt Roth tells me a lot more than what his agent says.

He said he is approaching Cam Wake just like he approaches a rookie.. He said he loves his tools and said he stood out more today.

And he talked about the big receivers we have and what they will do for us in the red zone and on 3rd downs.

Said we didn't practice well this morning. He said yesterday was better than today. Dropped balls, sloppy tackles, and too many penalties today.
 
Sparano said that he did see Wake picking it up toward the end of yesterday's practice.
