The Dolphins revamped their running game in the offseason by drafting Daniel Thomas and adding Reggie Bush. The team's ground game might be new, then, but it certainly didn't look improved Friday in Miami's 28-23 preseason victory at Atlanta.

The Dolphins gained 63 yards on 27 carries — an average of 2.3 yards per carry. No running back averaged better than 3.1 yards per carry.

"I'm seeing more and more out of them every day in practice but I really need to see it in the games at a consistent level here," Dolphins coach Sparano said. "And it's hard because you're running out of quarters but, I mean, we've got to see it."

I wonder is Sparano realizes he had two running backs on his roster who showed him quite a bit in games.

Every day, they're showing him new ways of falling to the ground after being hit being the line.

This is all about the O-line and barely about the backs.

Oh, the running backs are doing well? Super.

Call me when you see something out of one of the ****ing quarterbacks on this roster.

When the backs can get to the hole without dodging defenders in the backfield they will get better.....The interior line still sucks, they need continuity, stop shuffling guys around and let them gel...

I was assuming that we are basically expecting Thomas and Bush to do the work. Do you think that maybe he's banking on Hilliard and Sheets to be part of the mixed rotation?
