To suggest that " we improved on mental errors....its just that they came on big plays..." WTF is that?

Does this guy get it?

He says " I'm responsible for 12 men being on the field....when I was in highschool I knew where I had to be...." No duh! why dont your players know where they have to be?

Dang...I'm reminded of the Cam era all over again!

This guy is learning on the job....great!

Thanks Wayne.:shakeno:

I think this is the word you were looking for; Main Entry: buf·foon Pronunciation: \(ˌ)bə-ˈfün\ Function: noun Etymology: Middle French bouffon, from Old Italian buffone Date: 1585 1 : a ludicrous figure : clown 2 : a gross and usually ill-educated or stupid person
— buf·foon·ish \-ˈfü-nish\ adjective

I've said it once, I'll continue to say it. HC in the NFL is not an entry level position. If you are not ready to run a team, you should not be given the job. Great quote by Sparano.....Hey, genius, do you think those might've been big plays BECAUSE of the mental errors?! Wow.

Honestly, I'm getting hints of Cameron II myself.

We shall see.

I will wait till after 4 games to judge him. He is gonna need time to adjust and understand where to focus on.

There are certain things that just aren't Sparano's fault and certain things that are. There is 1 direct difference however with Cameron and Sparano.

Atleast when someone messes up Sparano is there on the sideline waiting to let them know it like with Langford.

We shall see what happens. But IMO, we are not 0-2 because of lack of coacing.

Ken Wisenhunt and Mike Tomlin were rookies and they managed to coach their teams just fine. Andy Reid was also just an assistant before he took over the Eagles, and they're consistently one of the better teams in the league.

Parcells and Ireland fired a coach with experience in Cameron. A coach who apparently got more out these players and ran a better offense than Sparano.

mind you also, we released some players this week that were on some of the special teams, and we are switcing up things at times.... still i say it should never happen, but that could of caused probs.

also i'd like to add the ridiculous amount of penalties throughout the game, killing nice plays we actually made, and jsut killing our drives, or defensive opportunities.... too many penalties, too many brain farts, too many defensive sets that were allowing grand match-ups for Zona

Sparano made reference to "EK" who pulled the all nighter with him. Who is "EK"?

The Steelers were no hapless Dolfins when Tomlin took over!

Even Wisenhunt took over a pre-developed roster that wasnt far from getting over the hump.

Cameron had NO HC experience,,,sorry, and I dont know how "getting more out of these players..." with a 1-15 record is anything to write about.

BTW...2/3 of this roster has been turned over...

No excuse for Huizenga allowing Parcells to pick a rookie coach for such a radically bad team needing an extreme makeover.

We deserved a veteran HC.

What we deserve is nothing. Come on...think about what you just said. You don't deserve anything other than what you work for and unless you are playing, coaching, or managing the Miami Dolphins, just pull for your team without thinking you deserve wins or loses or specific players etc.

Miami will...hopefully...be a winner again someday but that will only come with time, effort, and patience from the organization and us as fans! Go Phins.:)

Cameron was a more experienced and successful assistant than Sparano. And you're right, getting more out a 1-15 team isn't anything to write home about, which is why witnessing one of the ugliest losses in team history under Sparano was all the more concerning.

As well, it's not like we can just go out and grab a veteran HC that isn't a retread. Art Shell? Cowher isn't available, and he wouldn't even take the job since he's waiting for the Carolina job to open up. Dennis Erikson? Jim Mora Jr? Chan Gailey? Honestly, every HC at some point started out as an assistant somewhere. The idea is to hire a good one, which by the looks of things, we didn't.

gosh darn it I sure miss good ole Sam Madison but i miss Brock Marion and tim bowens even more.

I dont know how you all feel about this but I have a theory and that is even if you are rebuilding you absolutley must have guys brought in who are better then the guys we let go.

we did not do this with our cornerbacks and receivers and it is showing.
If My *** was on the firing line as a hc i think I would trade Ricky to Detroit for wr Roy Williams .
I would think that i would draft a cb in rd 1 a wr in rd 2 and then I would draft 3 dt's and a og
then use f/a to address the other needs but the fact is Pennington isnt even as good of a qb as Brian Griese or Joey Harrington .
As for Ted Ginn , I am tempted to say he is a bust but so are the last 10 1st round picks .

Bottom line its time to start drafting playmakers not back ups :shakeno:

....not to mention Mike McCarthy, formerly GB QB coach and an assistant at lowly SF, who I believe tied an HC record for best win:loss ratio over his first 25 games. And of course JAck DelRio hasn't done too poorly.

Sure, you're gonna have your Moras and Cams, but proportionately they're not a convincing argument for hiring a seasoned HC (who's probably available since he's been fired since there aren't that many Cowhers and soon Holmgrens who turn their backs on the Benjamins). Do you really want a Mora, Bellick, Fassell, Denny Green type retread? I don't.

Oh my. Are we really defending Cam Cameron now? Is this what we've come to? Sparano will coach these guys to be a better team then Cameron ever could. It won't be til late in the season tho, so get comfortable. this team sucks, it takes time.
