Edgar Thompson, of The Palm Beach Post, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano wants to win, and figures the best way to do so will be to rely on vice president of football operations Bill Parcells. Sparano said he wants Parcells to be involved with practices and provide his input.

Thats one item they didn't have to keep secret...:lol:
 
The Furor must over see operations. It's cool with me 4 eyes are better then 2 see what needs to and how to be improved
 
Is it just me or did Sparano just all of a sudden start feeding the media.

I find it very odd that he has been talking so much the last few days.

Is this some kind of a ploy?
 
Sporano is wise to rely on Parcells right now but eventually he will have to cast his own shadow.
 
Did that really have to be said? Just coach man, damn do we need Parcells to help u do that.
 
I would say the same thing if the man is sitting upstairs. Hell I would contact Donny baby too. Don and Bill. new buddies.
 
This is a give or take situation for Miami.

I think it is smart that Sparano will rely heavily on Parcells. Who else better to learn from than someone who really knows what they are doing. This could be a good thing if Sparano can learn from the Tuna.

The downside, should Sparano not be able to pick up where Tuna leaves off, then Miami is in trouble. Relying heavily on parcells can be just as bit of a good thing as a bad thing. If Sparano relies on the Tuna too much, that will mean he will be a horrible coach when the Tuna decides to call it quits.
 
Bill Parcells is a good resource for Coach Sparano. However, and to use Coach Sparano's words "at the end of the day" Tony needs to be his own man and coach the team how he sees fit.

I perceived your post as, 'Coach Sparano is all of a sudden talking to the media, what gives?'

I merely responded that its not like he is running around dropping hints, rather he has his first real PC in almost two months, so many questions were asked and he answered them all. Sorry for the misunderstanding buddy.

That was my exact intention.

They came out today and put the makeshift line up out there. Told us all about there plans.

Why all of a sudden. Why now.

Because HCs always speak to the media at the Owners Meetings.
