Sparano trying to get Miami Dolphins to forget Patriots, move on

There is no such thing as a home game for the Dolphins. They practically play 16 road games each year.
We only have one of the best home records in the history of the NFL. Even including the dramatic drop with the recent ineptly run teams. We've lost 6 straight home openers. Before 2000 they only lost 4 home openers in the history of the franchise. Dolphins still hold the record for consecutive home wins. 30 years of home dominance and the fanbase is suddenly terrible? Blame belongs with the people running the team.

well while that may be true on balance. miami was the team that was cramping and it was a late game. i understand what ur saying about the bubble. just dont think theres a ton of merit to it. there is - just not very much.

for years miami faded down the stretch and THAT was always the talk. we would start strong and finish slow every year, and we had alot of those 1 oclock games early in the season that we would own.

this really doesnt have much merit because there are benefits and advantages to both sides. big picture u want ur team to win down the stretch. u want ur team fresh as can be down the stretch. tony has taken that approach to this one. and im not going to blast him for this. he probably made the right move. BUT with that in mind - this team should have done EVERYTHING else in their power to win that game. and they just werent ready from the front office on down.

and sean smith and davis can say all they want about how well conditioned there are and hydrated - ready. no they werent. they didnt have enough potassium in their body and they werent fully hydrated. they should have been pissing purple pedialyte. they werent ready. and thats the players fault and the coaching staffs fault. they havent seen a full games action yet. they should have been hydrated. they werent

I've heard this argument before. I don't agree with it but I kind of see where you're going with it. The thing is though, it hasn't paid dividends in the home stretch of the season since we've gone this route, and the last 2 seasons we would have needed pure miracles to get in and we couldn't even do that.

Everyone points to how the hurry-up offense drained us, and while that made things difficult, it shouldn't have resulted in our guys crawling on all fours to the sideline throughout the game. We actually had a 3min edge in time of possession. How come I didn't see the Patriots defenders huffing and puffing like they're about to die? There is no excuse to have a road team have this kind of edge over us on the "home field", and my whole point was, the problems with the FO's incompetence completely dwarf whatever possible gain you get from a few extra thousand people making noise on 3rd and 1 as Brady completes another 20 yarder to Welker.
