Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano was a guest tonight on WQAM 560 and stated he wants defensive end Jason Taylor to return for a 12th season.
“Jason has come out and he has also said that the meeting between he and I would stay confidential and I believe that,” Sparano said. “The things that Jason I spoke about will sta behind closed doors for the most part.
“But one of the issues that we really did want to get out there and I wanted to make a point to Jason about is we as an organization and, certainly me as a head coach, want to see Jason Taylor back here with the Miami Dolphins in uniform, out on the field, doing what he does best for the Miami Dolphins, and that’s running after quarterbacks and sacking quarterbacks.
“I think at the end of our visit, I know that Jason knows that that’s how I feel, and that’s we feel as an organization right now. Other than that, throughout the meeting, most of that will stay confidential between he and I.”

Based on the fact that we cant get anything more than 4 wouldnt you want him back? Coach Sparano is saying all the right things...who knows what is being said behind closed doors

I hope J.T. does come back because we need him. He's still better than alot of pass rushers in the NFL and still plays on an elite level most of the time. I think people focus on his bad start from last year as a means to jusitify trading him or saying that he's declining. Joey Porter as is most of the team also had a bad start but he and other players only got better as the year went on.

Jason Taylor has a knack for making plays and great instincts, that 2006 season showed that...particularly that Chicago Bears game. I think Sparano is the kinda coach football players like to play for, and I think JT would be anxious to play for a coach like Sparano after going through 2007 with Cameron.
