Coach Sparano was 1 vote away from winning coach of the year last year behind Atlanta's. Well, our starting QB and RB both went down. Now, more recently the same thing has happened to Atlanta. Yet the Dolphins adapted and are still in good position to make the playoffs as either a wild card or repeat division champion. The Falcons are falling back and are most likely done for the season.

Any doubts now who should have one? Sparano has a shot to win it this year, I'm sure he'll get some votes. He should, but they'll look at the wins of the colts and saints before looking at what the Dolphins have done to adapt to their losses of their starters and still win tough games.

Not fair. We have much better depth at RB and QB than Atlanta does. In fact, I would suggest that the guys we have at those positions now are better than the players who got injured. Not the case in Atlanta.

I wouldve voted for Sparano last year though.

Every team has the opportunity to acquire depth. Whether or not they do it adequately is another story.

Well, in there defense, Matt Ryan and Michael Turner being out didnt help them. I think if they were playing, the'd still be in it.

Although he won't win (Sean Payton probably has it on lock-down), I think Sparano would deserve consideration for Coach of the Year if this team makes the playoffs... because if they do, it would be nothing short of a miracle considering the injuries, the schedule, and the 0-3 start.

One problem is Sparano's well-publicized gameday blunders.

Um, that was last year ... can we get past it and live in the present?

I'm sure Sparano doesn't give $#!& either way.
He deserved it last year, but I'm sure he didn't lose sleep

The perception that Parcells was a puppet master behind Sparano hurt his chances last year. This year everyone (voters included) have figured out this is Tony's team. If we get to the playoffs again this year he is a shoe in, especially if we defend the division title.

He may have been robbed last year, but I don't think there is any way he's getting it this year.
