This is getting better as time goes on.

Tony Sparano on what he saw in Daniel Thomas his first practice with the Dolphins: In college you didn’t really see Daniel block a whole lot, wasn’t really what he was asked to. That’s something that we got to get to the bottom of here a little bit fast.

So we have our "best elite player" Jake Long on the PUP list, a feature back in the back field that can not block, and according to Sparano, our Offense is not polished.

Add Chad Henne, or Matt Moore = :puke:

All NFLN talked about when we drafted him was that he was very good in pass protection. I think we'll be fine.

Stop reaching just to try and pile on the negativity. He clearly said Thomas was not asked to block in college so that is something that will have to change.

But the article says he was responding to a question about what he saw in practice. In other words, he saw something he didn't like about DT's blocking - it wasn't just a cute little story about DT's college offensive system.

Anyway, it's probably no big deal but since you're playing the role of the negativity police......

No where does it say he cannot block? You are reading way too much into nothing.

If you play football, from pee-wee through college, you are taught how to block. Some are better at it than others.
He will be fine after he understands where the pressure will be coming from. Have patience with the guy, he's a rookie.

yeah im far more worried about Long on PUP then a rookie RB's blocking ability

See you next year Mr. Cowher and Mr. Luck!!!

I does'nt matter if Big Jake is on PUP list or Thomas does'nt or cant block or if Henne is just b/up were still fans of the Miami Dolphins.
So let's all cheer for them win or lose............

Jesus they have been in camp 2 days! Nublar quick make me a chicken little the sky is falling smiley

ya agenda!

you don't trust a rookie rb to pass protect anyway

Then who, pray tell, is going to block on the hundreds of plays that running backs are commonly asked to block for?

Reggie Bush? That'll certainly give blitzers and defensive linemen a laugh.
