Do you think all these problems on the Offense, specifically the expensive and constant game of musical chairs on the O-line combined with the generic safe play calling over the last few years will hurt Sparano if he is terminated?...I don't see anything about his tenure in Miami that would leave me to believe another team would give him a shot at head coach again for a while....So whats next?He is supposed to be an o-line guru, but apart from drafting Long he has not created a great o-line, (even though they looked great two years ago the unit seems to have declined) he is not an Offensive Coordinator...is a team gonna trust him to coach their O-line? I think he ends up back in the NCAA...It makes me sad to think about it because I really do like Tony I just feel like he really pigeon holed himself...I am really hoping that he and Daboll have chemistry to do something with the talent that we have (and for gods sake we have a lot of great players)

frankly, and this may sound cold. I really don't care what's next for coach if he can't make something happen here. I really only care about the Dolphins winning football games, period. if he can't make that happen for us, I'll wish him luck, but it won't be much more than a footnote where he ends up.

I mean, does anyone really care that Cam Cameron is the OC for the Ravens?

Who would have imagined.....Chad Henne NOT being the reason Sparano gets fired. I hope he knows what he is doing, because his circus like Oline management down here wont get him any interviews as OLine coach.

giving fist-pumping seminars, time-out clinics and advanced public speaking classes.

I don't think people quite grasp what his role is on this team. As Head Coach, Sparano is the CEO of football operations. He oversees the entire operation in this position. He leaves it up to his managers (coordinators / assistant coaches) to actually practice the fundamentals of the business with the employees (players). In this role, he delegates power to all position coaches. He isn't the one in the OL meetings and practice field showing them proper technique, he leaves that up to Masano. (or whatever the OL coach's name is). He might give his 2 cents every once in awhile, but he trusts his coaches to get his players ready. The performance of the OL here in Miami isn't an indication of his ability as an OL coach, because he isn't coaching them directly.

However, the failure of that unit IS indicative of his failure as a CEO (head coach) as the man he appointed for the job isn't getting the job done. Sparano already fired his first choice, so this is his 2nd hand-picked guy. If the OL fails this year, ultimately the failure falls on Sparano, but not because of his ability to coach fundamental OL techniques, but because the guy he hand picked to do that for him wasnt a good choice.

Ultimately, if management sucks and the product fails, the CEO is the one who (rightfully) should take the ultimate blame.

That being said, again, this is not indicative of Sparano's talent as an OL coach. If Sparano fails as head coach, I believe he will no have problem getting another gig in the NFL as an OL coach. He has many attributes that make him valuable to an NFL team.

ok...just so I understand ......the season hasn't even started, and you guys are wondering what our head coach is going to do after he gets canned??

then again, i just read he re-upped for 3 years. if true, its going to be hell in finheaven for a long time.

Get ready for Ireland to draft a RT in first round! lol

He will be coaching the Dolphins in 2012, so I am not sure why this is even a topic. :idk:

Gives them the false hope of the Grudens or Cowhers of the coaching world coming in.

I really think we'll have a great season this year, and this won't be an issue
