Why don't we just punt the ball out of bounds! If we give the Pats good field posion on every punt we are going to be in trouble. The tacklers need to stop overpursuing and stay in their lanes. Oh Yea TACKLE!

I've got to where I hope the ball goes out of bounds....everytime
we kick-off or punt.

I said this in an earlier post- special teams are going to cost us at least one game in the remiander of our schedule. Our only hope is these guys step it up. They seem to let one big play per game blow by them.

One great thing about Mare..... He could get the ball out of the other end zone everytime. I havent seen Dan do it once.

I have been saying the same thing for a while now too, and they almost have. Such a HUGE difference though with Chad and this offense to where they can put together drives at the end of games when we need it the most, when is the last time we were able to do this? Offense bailing us out in crunch time??? WOW

I just watched the highlights from the Raiders game and it looked to me that right when the Raiders return guy caught the ball ( the one that went for the TD ) there was a Dolphin player being pushed in the back... It might be biased but thats how I saw it...

This drove me nuts during the Raiders game! All our drives seemed to start at our 10 yard line. Then when The returner had a decent run, it was called back for holding (twice if I recall). Meanwhile all the Raiders drives seemed to start at about their 40!! Something's got to be fixed, big time!

ST has already cost us 2 games.

Jets game -

-We punt from our 30, Washington returns it 20 yards to midfield (Their 44 Yardline). Next play, Favre hits Cotchery for a TD.

- (Although not related to coverage) Carpenter kicks off following a Miami TD - out of bounds. Jets Ball at the 40. 11 plays later - Jets TD.

Just 2 kicks, both putting the other team near midfiled, and resulting in Touchdowns, granted one was an 11 play drive, but the other was only 1.

- 14 points. We lost by 6.

Houston Game -

- Andre Davis - 5 Kick Returns for 142 yards, long of 50

- Jacoby Jones - 4 Punt returns for 87 yards, long of 70

- D.Carpenter kicks 62 yards from MIA 30 to HST 8. A.Davis pushed ob at MIA 42 for 50 yards. 6 plays later, Houston kicks a FG.

-B.Fields punts 44 yards to HST 30, J.Jones for 70 yards, Touchdown.

- 10 points (7 directly from the return.) We lost by 1.

And this is only our coverage unit.

No, you saw it right. Happened on the big return in Denver, too. But we get called for a hold on a guy who had no chance of getting to the returner.
