Giants Fan here....friend of a miami fan so I used to check this site a little.

Anyways, one of the Giant Insiders is saying that Capers will be the next HC of Miami....This guy was right on a few things before (Randy Johnson Trade and some other Giants information)

As you know a lot of Giants fans like myself want Capers as the DC....but doesnt look like it will happen....

It kills me when I read posts saying a person doesn't want Capers as HC, but just as DC. Do you think the guy will stay on if he gets passed over? Yeah right.

Dom Capers will say “Thanks, but no thanks” to Coughlin, if the Giants’ coach asks his old friend to become the Giants’ next defensive coordinator. First, Capers favors the 3-4 and the Giants aren’t built for that right now. Second, he’s already turned down a chance to be the Falcons’ defensive coordinator. Third, the Dolphins appear ready to throw a lot of money at him to keep him, assuming he doesn’t become their next head coach.

Jason Garrett will not become the Giants’ next quarterbacks coach. That’s the favorite name being tossed around right now, but he’s been offered a job as Alabama’s offensive coordinator under Slick Nick Saban. It’s hard to imagine he’ll turn that down. He’s also reportedly up for the offensive coordinator’s job with the Cleveland Browns.

Well to tell you the truth unless he is offered another job as a HC? Yes!
 
You meant he post that says "Wayne MAY hire Dom"? That's a guess, not inside information. 'Appear ready yo throw money at him to keep him (as DC) if not as HC". All speculation.

So then the 5 interviews with Mueller, Don and Dan etc are all smoke or now will be cancelled? Don't know how logical that is. It's way to early to declare anyone the HC because we haven't interviewed anyone??

I was not talking about the blog.....I was talking about the poster named SCOOP who has been right on more than a few occassions...this was his post in the thread...

Like I said, I am not guaranteeing this, but I wouldnt be surprised if this was true...


Capers will : SCOOP : 1/12/07 2:57 PM be the next head coach of the Dolphins.
 
Here's one great scenario...

Keep Capers as DC

Promote Jarett and fire Mularkey

Hire Brian Shotty as HC

Whisenhunt would be nice or D. Juron. No to Cameron. For whatever reason I just can't picture him as our HC.

And do you really think he'll leave only to take the exact same position with another team? No one's going to hire him as head coach. Defensive Coordinator is the best he can do right now, and for the sake of job security he may as well stay in Miami, running one of the league's best defenses. It's better for his career than going to New York.
 
Like I am going to trust what a Giants fan on a message board says about the Dolphins head coach search. :lol:
