Ill go ahead and say it if muller and cam dont resign wes welker i will be totally pissed off!!! if they dont that will tell me one thing, we need a new GM, welker has earned is spot on this team unlike other players (vick, ricky, manny and others) and if he is not a fin in 07' it will be the worst move that the fins will make all year, there is no reason why we cant resign him, it will be cheap and easy. wes was our best wr last year and might have been the most consistant player on the whole team! dont give me the crap about he is slow and short and sucks on kickreturns, he makes plays period, get a better kickreturner fine but welker needs to be on this team and if he is not we will be in for a long year, and mark my words if we dont resign him he will go to a team and play us and light us up! so make the right move muller and be smart resign wes welker ASAFP!:fire:

Are you sure about his price being low?? I admit he is a lousy kick returner but he established himself as a top slot receiver last season. He might not be that cheap. He might not be that cheap at all. But I would much rather pay him some more money than pick up moss. yuck! If Welkers is price is too high I defintely think the Ginn thing with the 9th pick is the way to go.

i agree with u...i think he was our best wr last year..he held on to every ball that was thrown his way...he plays with a lot of heart and passion something i wish all the players had..with that said thou i dont see him coming back based on the fact that managment is going to proble draft a speedy wr wich is totally needed to be the # 3 wr and handle kickoffs, some 1 hopefully like ginn...if there is a place for him on this next year thats great if not well lthen it was fun watching him play hard every week...

Letting Welker go is actually beneficial to the team. Welker plays in the slot; trouble is, Chambers is better than him from the slot.

id like to have wes but if its wes or another need like OL than wes needs to go. i like him but we need to address other issues first

i like him n all..but maybe for chambers to excell, they put him in the slot and we do either
a. get a guy Via FA(stallworth or moss) or
b. we draft a ginn jr maybve they think thats the best for the team. we dont know. But bringing in a stallworth or moss "DOES" improve our team better than welker can i think..im not bashing him, just saying man, hes not a pro bowler, we get rid of him to put cc in the slot and we bring in someone else. isee that happening

wow, unreal how people forget who our best player on offense last year.

funny thing is if we got rid of a bum like ricky or vick people would be going off. chambers is the one that needs to go, wes did his job last year, i would rather give up booker, chambers or mcmike rather that get rid of welker.

That would be Ronnie Brown, not Wes Welker.

I'm sorry, but Chambers is better from the slot than Welker. You only need to look at Chambers' rookie season, and the last 6 games of 2005 to see that. Those two instances are the times when Chambers was played from the slot. They also happen to coincide with his best career performances.

Liking Welker isn't the point. He's a good receiver. But he occupies a position that he shouldn't, and as such is an offensive bottleneck.

no that would have been ronnie brown but he was hurt for 4 games, wes never left the feild, he was there doing all the dirty work while ronnie was on the bench, ronnie is great but come on wes does it all.

imo he is better than chambers, wes does not cry about not getting the ball like chambers and then when you throw it to him he drops it. chambers caught 37% of the passes thrown to him while wes caught near 65% chew on that, chambers is so overated.

wow people are really not mad about this?

quit feeling sorry for welker..thats all it is. Yes he did good, yes he is a good character guy, a guy everyone likes. but doesnt posses the talent we need for thsi team

why are you riding his stuff so much?? he had one decent year because the whole offense sucked...thats it welker will only be good in a crappy offense. Chambers and mcmike make a few more cathces, welker is involved less, guarantee

It's not like Welker going would be for free. Place a tender on him and get a draft pick for him. He's going to have some people interested in him.
