Speculation: Suspended Players Could Be Reinstated before Sunday!

this certainly raises the intrigue for the game now. I hope these guys kept themselves sharp. Adding Jordan to that already deep d-line is big. he can drop back and help out the linebackers. Jones is solid against the run and we're going to need that too.

They should play, it's like they only had a bye week being they were involved all preseason. It's up to the coaches but I think it would be a mistake to not have these guys suit up. If they're not in football shape after only two weeks being away from the team, then they should be on this team.

Jordan could help us play more of that 5 man front, but Jones will help more. The team plane has already left for Buffalo, but I guess they can get on a later flight. That have a lot to get caught up on to get up to speed on the game plan, but I guess it is possible that they play. I can't imagine the NFL Players Union would let them miss another pay check.

Despite players voting on @nfl’s drug proposal, teams being informed no final deal means it’s unlikely suspensions will be lifted before Sun@RapSheet

Sound like a wrap for week 2.

The roster deadline to play Sunday has passed. As my internet-less (d’oh!) flight takes off, looks like no deal in time for reinstatements.

Lawyers for the NFL and NFLPA continue to hammer out final language, mull any lingering issues with the expanded drug policy and ensure they have covered every contingency after negotiating this document for nearly four years, according to sources involved in the process.

The process could be complete by Monday night but will not be done this weekend, the sources said, as both sides are taking their time making sure there is comfort with all of the wording and trying to eradicate any discrepancies, rather than have these issues eventually part of a grievance in the future.

The crux of the drug policy, which includes HGH testing and new thresholds for marijuana, is agreed upon. By Week 3, the lessened suspensions for some players will take effect and, for currently suspended players like Wes Welker and Orlando Scandrick, they will be able to play.

Roughly a dozen players will be impacted by these new rules when they become official -- in terms of lessened penalties against them, sources said -- including several players who are currently un-signed free agents.

No drug policy final deal today, but source involved says the hope is it’s done Monday to give players a chance to get back in buildings

Could have Jones and Jordan back and Pouncey is on his way.
