Peyton got to a Super Bowl with a lugnut like Jim Caldwell as coach, so I think he could have carried Philbin too. That being said, Fox is 3 times the coach Philbin is. I think the talent around Peyton in Miami would be sufficient to get at least to the AFC Championship game.
 
I would rather have kept Jeff Ireland and have Joe Philbin in place than have Manning.
 
Can you imagine if Ross would have fired Ireland immediately after Polian was let go and hired him? Ummm...
 
With the oline we had peyton would have ended up being a quadraplegic..
 
Manning is the coach, he is the offensive line, he is the receivers. He just makes the players around him better.
 
Anyone who thinks Tannehill would do better than Manning even with this O-line is delusional. He is arguably the best QB in NFL history and Tannnehill can't complete a deep pass. I blame Jeff Ireland. We were the front runners to sign him and the first team to speak to him.
 
Should have drafted Russell Wilson. 3 points but he's got a nice passer rating, so clearly he's good.
