Don Seeholzer, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports the Minnesota Vikings expressed their preference to draft a young quarterback instead of bolstering the position via free agency this year. "I think it would be more likely, if we went the quarterback route, that it would be through the draft rather than it would be through free agency," vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman said. The Vikings hold the No. 7 overall selection in the 2007 NFL Draft and have not ruled out using it on a quarterback.

If we want Quinn we better Trade with Arizona.....

They just took one in the 2nd last year. They need WR and DB.
 
If Quinn was avalaible and Spielman were to screw us like that, I would personally go to Minnesota and kill the SOB. He thinks he is a big shot now that he is not Wanny ***** any more.

Exactly. Spielman would move back a spot or two and still get the guy he wants and an extra draft pick.

Of course he is gonna say that when the two teams sitting behind them have QB issues.

Yeah, but with Spielman running the show, if you aren't an All Pro in your rookie year, you're officially a bust.

Tavaris Jackson has potential to be special. He showed flashes in the preseason.
 
The rumor was the Phins were talking to Washington about trading our 3rd and 1st for their 1st so I wouldn't be too concerned about Houston or Minny because we can leapfrog them if we want to.
 
I might regret saying this later, but more and more it sounds like if the Dolphins really want Quinn, they will have to trade up. I have never been a big fan of this, as I think every pick is very important, but if it came down to doind this to get him, I would not mind it. He and Cjohnson, are the only players I would trade up for.

This is utterly uncreative smokescreening that nobody is going to buy. They will dare Rick Spielman to make good on his bluff. Then he won't make good on his bluff, Brady Quinn will become a star, and Rick Spielman will toot his horn for having Quinn high on his draft board (even though he didn't pick him).
