SPIELMAN GETTING LOOKS FROM VIKES, RAMS
Word around the league is that former Dolphins G.M. Rick Spielman's name has come up in connection with openings in the Minnesota and St. Louis front offices.
In Minnesota, Spielman could replace Fran Foley, who is in the process of getting bumped out. In St. Louis, Spielman could replace G.M. Charley Armey, whose position we also hear is in jeopardy.
An obvious candidate for the Minnesota job is Scott Studwell, the team's director of college scouting. :sidelol:

cant think linehan would take a chance on him after what he did in miami....this guy makes the hairs in my neck come up....i saw him yeserday talking about the draft and even about ricky and it killed me.....he should be banned from talking about football

Quick Saban/Mueller,

Get on the phone with the Vikes. I can see us locking up there entire 2007 draft for Jeff Zgonina!

This guy is no good. I think I can do a better job of evaluating talent and making personnel decisions in an NFL organization. I would LOVE for him to go to the Rams. Maybe we can pull a deal and get Holt/Jackson for a 5th round pick.

go to the rams and trade us a 1st for some of our backups.. perhaps they will give us a few picks for ricky

Rick is not that bad as you peole think.Remember last season Rick was here for the draft (it just happened to be a very good draft) so Saban/Rick/liehan worked together.I wouldn't be surprise if he ends up with the Rams.

Saban/Rick '05 draft > Saban/Mueller '06 draft

Saban/Rick '05 draft > Saban/Mueller '06 draft

rick was there to get saban coffee and food when needed......at no point was he able to say anything to lord Saban

I think his major problem was the coach he had to report to....

Whether or not he is a good evaluator of talent didn't seem like the problem to me...

He was able to swing the Williams deal which was a good deal. We should have done much better as a team when Ricky was breaking all those rushing records.

I hope he signs with the Vikes, just to screw'em over even more.

Not sure why you're laughing, Speilman was a part of our 04, and 05 drafts..imho, he's a good personnel guy and will do any team that gets him, justice. He rightly started redo our Oline, and now we have a very young Offense, he was with Saban last year in that draft and I'm sure a lot of his hard work, showed up in that draft even though Saban gets all the credit. His 04 draft is still a part of this team with the 4th round steal in Poole, who even Saban seems to have a lot of respect and JT just pointed out as one of the suprise players to look for this year. Jeno is still our LG, Carey started at RT, Pope is in the LB mix, Morris was recently resigned, Bell is in the hunt in the secondary, Pape was resigned even after quiting, look at NFLE last year, he played well. Speilman would have done well given time..

You keep thinking that if it makes you feel more comfortable.
Fact is, he has a good eye for talent.
