How is he still on this team? Yes I know this is being addressed in cut threads, but I really want to hear specifically why Spitler is still on this team.
 
And you want one of the 'talent evaluators' on this forum to explain it to you?:lol:
 
They're working out a deal with him and Ryan Baker for draft picks? Geez!

They both should be gone by now.

maybe he's on a ton of special teams and the special teams coach said he needed him to make the 53?
 
These guys are a ****ing joke. I'm starting to wonder if they are trying to screw over the next regime by cutting the good players they draft and keeping the ****ty ones.

I don't believe that, but I would believe they would drop developmental types because they are in "win now" mode. Edds would have been a redshirt because he will need a year to regain speed and Spears has been discussed enough already. This team is moving into perform now mode. Ross might be behind that as well given his financial committment.
 
Really you guys don't know DIDDLY SQUAT...I felt the same way about keeping Carrol over Allen ....but Sparano himself said that he performed lights out all thru training camp. So don't be so quick to pounce on moves.
 
Why would you start a thread asking a question that not a soul on this board could answer? Why not start a thread saying that we actually addressed 2 positions of need, you know the ones we've been clammoring for forever. Rosario could be the seam threat we need. Instead of complaining, look at the other side of the leaf, and applaud this FO for loosening a spot we were cramped in and filling a position of need.

Maybe Edds isn't recovered, or has lingering effects? Nobody knows.

The question was asked in a manner that was meant to be a little critical. However, I like the two additions. Especially Cook. My concern as I have seen some of the developmental guys go away such as Spears, is that this team will cease to focus on talent development and take the win now approach too heavily given the status of its coach and perhaps GM.

You're wrong, my friend. The longer you're on this forum, you will realize that it is laden with some of the premier NFL talent evaluators in the business. Do not question them...they watch TV.

Then what is Spitler's excuse for doing jack **** in preseason while Edds was actually useful? I'm tired of the "they're good at ST" excuse for keeping **** payers around while our ST still suck ***.

Don't you mean they watch the NFL network while playing a certain video game?
