Miami: B
If Ronnie Brown matches his hype and Ricky Williams is close to what he was, yikes.
by the by...
Pats A
Corey Dillon hauls the mail, and Kevin Faulk provides a nice change of pace.

Jets A
Curtis Martin, 32, will slow down sooner or later. Bet on later.

Bills B+
Willis McGahee is a heavy-duty back with gamebreaking ability.

Wow, I know everyone likes to take a wait-and-see approach, but I'm not sure how Ricky Williams' sudden retirement has made him less talented on the football team, and how a #2 overall pick runningback even alone compares to unfavorably to Corey Dillon, Curtis Martin, and Willis McGahee.

Hey we all know that until Ronnie and Ricky prove themselves, our running game is not going to be ranked up there, but who cares these are 2 of the best in the league, and playing together, this is going to be a very good year!!!!

I think what it means is that we're a B right now. If those guys do what we think they can do, we can be an A+ rushing team.

Also, that Ronnie sig is tight as hell. Is he actually wearing the jersey or is that another graphically enhanced image? It looks real...if so..when did he put on the gear?

I guess with Ronnie you have to wait until he proves himself, but Ricky has proven himself over and over again.

This whole weight gain issue is so overblown it is ridiculous. Not only does the guy still have 2 weeks to gain weight before he even gets into training camp, but after that he's got all the way until OCTOBER before he even has to play a single meaningful down, because of his five week suspension.

He's already at 215 pounds, and his normal playing weight in Miami was between 225 and 235 pounds. Does anyone HONESTLY think, that he will have trouble gaining another 10 or 15 pounds, over the course of the next three MONTHS?

What exactly does Ricky have to prove to anyone? We're not talking about a guy who missed a year because of an ACL tear, or some other injury that throws his effectiveness into question. He missed a year voluntarily.

If you would give Miami's runningbacks an A or A- before Ricky's retirement, there's no good reason to give it a B now, especially after using the SECOND OVERALL PICK IN THE DRAFT ON ANOTHER RUNNINGBACK.

Inexcusible, plain and simple.

Hey man it's just his opinion and they are like a$$holes, everybody has one!

I believe our overall depth is better then what the Bills have. McGahee is currently a more proven/reliable starter then what we have, but after him they are extremely thin. Henry is never going to play for the Bills again, so their main backup to Willis is going to be Shaud Williams, Lionel Gates or Reshard Lee? Look at us, and we have Ronnie, Ricky, Gordon and Morris. We have the better depth. I say this because if the difference of a B and B+ is depth, there is no way the Bills are better off in that department.

I don't think we can get an A just based on last season. Our rushing offense was horrible...I remember all the 3rd and 1's, 3rd and 3's that Travis or Sammy (moreso Travis) would pump for a gain of 0. So damn frustrating.

After last year I will certainly take a B!!!!!

We have the most depth and it gives the Phins a ceiling of A+ to reach with their two headed monster. People will have to eat crow when the machine starts to operate starting in Week 5.

well put ricky wont miss a beat

if Brown comes thru and Ricky plays like he can we are A+.

For now I don't think that those are such bad grades, except I would change the Jets A to an A-. Overall, I am confident and I do feel that we can have a GREAT PROMISING Running Back Core and I am hoping that we will take everyone by surprise. We also have one of the most stacked divisions when it comes to great running backs, so you must keep that in mind as well. I think a B is a fair grade for now, but I do feel that we will perform much better than most people (especially the media) give us credit for.
