Just read an article about him in today's paper. He is a really good kid... a team favorite, good sense of humor and hard worker. He was invited to the combine so that says something. He mentioned in the article that the Vikings, Ravens, and Cardinals have shown the most interest. I respect the Ravens and Cards opinions, so if they think he's got NFL potential, I'm buying it. He runs hard and ins't afraid to lower his head. When he sees a hole, he explodes through it. Good receiver out of the backfield. They would even swing him outside and down the field. He had a fantastic catch of about 30 yards down field in one of their playoff games. Only thing I haven't seen is pass protection. NDSU had a brick of a FB that would do that if they needed extra help. When NDSU played in their 4th national championship game this year, Billy Turner was there. He was interviewed by local TV station. He specifically mentioned Crockett and said he was a fan. Unfortunately, they didn't mention much about Miami, just the token "had taken his talents to South Beach" stuff. He did mention his frustration over the turf toe injury. I'd love the Fins to pick Crockett in the later rounds. Kyle Emmanuel is another Bison who could be drafted. Projected as OLB in NFL, was DE in college. Relentless motor, strong, and like Crockett- good work ethic and team player. Could go in last rounds or be sought after UDFA.
