sports illustrated 10 best games of 2000's

Miami gets no love except the "Monday Night Miracle Game" against the Jets which came in at number 2! the Pats oh they get mentioned in 4 games. IMO the birth of the wildcat should have been there.

Yea. Because that game was right there with all those closely contested, epic, playoff and world championship games listed. Im sure they considered it but pulled it out just before print time. :rolleyes2:

There's been so many good games through the past decade. Tuck rule game, Super Bowls 34 (Titans/Rams) and 42 (Patriots/Giants). None of our games really have made an impact on the NFL as a whole.

Hmm Dolphins games in the 2000's?

How about the playoff game against Indy that went to OT . . . the blackout Lamar Smith game.

Hell I would put the Monday night game against New England when we had the orange jerseys on before the "wildcat" game.

That Dolphins/Jets game was CLASSIC . . . heartbreaking . . . but was a great game.

Chad Pennington's revenge in the Meadowlands. Another great Dolphins game this decade.

You really don't think the wildcat had any kind of impact? I believe several teams have attempted to do it!

It is one of the GREAT "DOLPHINS wins" of the 2000's no question . . . if this was the top 10 Dolphin games (another thread in itself if u want), then that game would be in there.

But the game was a blowout.

Me personally, I put the "Monday Night Miracle", the 2004 Orange Jersey game against New England and that 2000 playoff game against the Colts on that list. There are also atleast 2 games against the Raiders in which Fiedler led us to victories that were pretty great games. There was a Monday night game against Denver in which Mare kicked the game winner.

I mean I can't think of them all, but there were some pretty good games of the Fins over the years . . . but we just haven't been significant enough this decade to merrit any big game mentions . . . which it figures the game they put . . .we lost.

:yap::yap:

Just saying that since the ONLY game that was not a playoff or SB games was the Monday Night Miracle, that came at 2. Meaning that game was better than 3 SB's and 5 playoff games. SI should have labeled it the best playoff and SB's of the 2000's! The 2000's were overall a bad decade of football for the fins and the wildcat turned a 1-15 into a best one year turn around 11-5 playoff team. So yea i believe it worth mentioning!

lol that game is up there because we were up 30-7 when the 4th quarter began, and we lost.

I will never forget it either . . . I think the Jets tied it . .. and the next possession . . . first play . . . Fiedler threw a BOMB to Leslie Sheppard and retook the lead only to see us lose it again.

No, because nobody treats the Wildcat like our team or our fanbase does.

Other teams want to run it but don't have the right personal.

As the popularity of the Wildcat spread during the 2008 NFL season, several teams began instituting it as a part of their playbook, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, San Diego Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals,Denver Broncos, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Many teams admit to spending an inordinate amount of time having to prepare for such a scheme

The wildcat is like the triple option . . . if u practice hard for it, u can stop it, thats why it can NEVER be a big part of the offense. It is used correctly the way Miami is using it. Even Georgia Tech looks lost when a team shuts down there option, they live by it and die by it.

My bottom line is the article is about the top 10 best games not comebacks....there are alot of exciting comebacks that happened throughout the past 10yrs. Why t he Fin/jet game? Because it was nationally televised as opposed to the det vs cle comeback this year?Dont forget about the Washington/NO game last week! No doubt that was a great comeback by the jets but really is it worthy of number 2 on list of top 10 games of the 2000's

Alright, did you really compare the Browns and Lions to the heated Jets/Dolphins rivalry "Monday Night Miracle" game?
