They've got Satele a starting center of course, despite the "official" latest depth chart from the Dolphins. What's interesting though, I thought, was the part about Tannehill and the offense. I don't like interceptions but it's part of the process and I like the fact that Lazor wants to try different routes and things with Tannehill now, to see what he can do. If it doesn't work he's not going to force it in real games, just move onto something else. I like that.

Tannehill admitted he had a "brain fart" on an interception in a 7-on-7 passing drill Tuesday. But he didn't seem worried about his other errant throws. "It's a combination of a bunch of stuff," he said. "Some throws we're just trying to make in practice to see if it's something we want to move on with during the season. We have other answers on the plays but the coaching staff wants to take a look at throws against different coverages and see if we can complete them. "I think we've come to the conclusion we're going to move on to another route."

Man I really love how Lazer is experimenting now to see what his players are capable of. Explains alot! No need to get bent outta shape over int's in camp

Oops. Don't know what happened with the double reply

Polar opposite of Sherman.

Reminds me of how much WV was defending Sherman lmao!! Like a boss!! BWAAAHAHAHA!!!

Well, better then looking good in practice making throws you know will work, but looking like crap in real games when the defense takes away what few things you practiced, this actually is the moment to experiment and look like garbage against a good defense.

Got to love what Lazor is doing so far with all the experimenting, that's how you get better by continuing to learn what his offense is capable of.

Polar opposite of Sherman.

My opinion of Sherman (and it could be wrong) was that he was more focused on becoming a head coach again rather than being a good OC. Sherman showed a lot of the same issues Mike Martz had as an OC after he lost the Rams head gig.

Hopefully Lazor keeps his eye on being a good OC. While Chud did get hired to be the Browns coach for a year, his relationship with his players in Carolina took a huge dip in year 2 because he was more focused on getting attention for HC gigs than being a good OC.

Chambers I agree completely being from the charlotte area. everyone hear knew that's what chud was doing and how it was ruining the team. hopefully lazor gives us at least one good season of trying to be a great coordinator before his head swells. and even if so, maybe if we have a good season and reup philbin to a short term HC contract, maybe we go ahead and extend lazor as Assitant HC/O coordinator. would that hurt eithers egos, who knows. but yeah I also felt when we got Sherman he would be coaching to try to get back to being the main guy. oh well he failed at OC and at trying to move up. he did do some good for this team and tannes development last year. but too much bad

See I was just about to post in a different thread that "we don't know what the offense was working on so the INTs might be a result of that" and this article leads right into that thought. The numbers that encourage me are Tannehill's scrimmage numbers and the fact that they are going to use quick passes to move down field.

Fast fast fast, I like that on offense.

Thanks for the article. It gives a great insight as to what is actually happening in practice vs. the tweets.

Was thinking the other night in bed that if Lazor takes this offense flyin, we need to lock him into a big payday and make him asst. HC. That takes care of that for a couple of years until a young student behind him and just take over what he did. Belicheckian. But once RT gets this offense, it comes down to the QB. I think Brady and BB set up their gameplans alot themselves with help from OC.

The result of hiring a rookie HC like Philbin...he wanted a security blanket. And Sherman was only good at laying down the law and couldn't use players' strengths. I like Lazor AN AWFUL LOT. Gonna be a significant difference in approach.

Lets hope the oline is good enough. I think it is much better then last year already. Our tackles are night and day. And ends get quicker pressure then DTs do on average. So that's a good thing if we can keep DEs at bay

If its the Eagles and the Eagles light (us) in the SuperBowl Lazor will the be hottest commodity out there for a head coaching gig.
