They didn't even mention Evan tonight, and Drew essentially said the entire 1st team Dolphins O played well last Thursday against the Bears.

Looks like both sides are either playing hardball or have possibly moved on.

What's more interesting, is no other team has made an offer. As we get later now in Camp, we all know that preseason games 2-3 allow the 1st team offenses to play more. That is the litmus test. If Mathis signs with anyone, I assume he is in good enough shape and veteran-savvy enough to not need many weeks of camp. Nonetheless, him being acquired this late reduces his capability to actually start week 1 - but I am probably wrong

That rag tag guard probably is just a camp body. No reason to think that is their "solution" for guard.

I just don't get the move on part? lol. Miami has just a small amount of cap space left this year and needs to be crafty next year, there is no move on here it is simple math, I have x dollars and you want y dollars.

What's that supposed to mean? The prvious 2-weeks Drew has been asked specifically about Mathis on channel 7 Sports Xtra. I think it's news that this week after the Dolphins TWO Guards appeared to play well last Thursday no mention was made of any interest Miami or any other team may or may not have in Mathis.

Do you honestly think they picked up a rag tag guard and that has ANY bearing on Evan Mathis? And this tells you what the team is thinking? I really dont get the hate sometimes...plenty other things to complain about no?

My hunch is that we would still like Mathis at the right price. The fact that none of the 31 other teams has been prepared to pay the $5.5M per season suggests that maybe he's overpriced. Mathis will find a home but he will probably have to reduce his financial expectations.
