Just reported on ESPN hope this whole thing gets resolved quickly so we will know who were moving on with as our starter.

I saw that too. Here's what the meeting should sound like.

Peterson: Give me Chambers.
Mueller: :sidelol:
Peterson: Okay, okay, a 4th next year.
Mueller: :sidelol:
Peterson: Fine, just a 6th and that'll do.
Mueller: I already offerd you that.
Peterson: Fine! I'll just keep him.
Mueller: No you won't.
Peterson: You're right, conditional 7th?
Mueller: Deal.

That sounds like a great plan!!!

Haha, that would be funny. But I highly doubt that. CP has way too much pride and I think he'd rather starve than look weak.

Trent Green and Tony Gonzalez

for

Chris Chambers and 6th

Sorry, I'm bored.

Carl Peterson thinks he can beat Randy Mueller...he's got another thing coming

Their not going to give Green away but ultimately may have to so it would serve them better to get some sort of deal done for him regardless of what they get, at least it would be something for them. Just hoping it's quick and we can get him in here.

My pipe dream was:

Daunte Culpepper and Chris Chambers (and we can toss in Ricky if he gets reinstated before the deal)

for

Trent Green and Larry Johnson

Cue Keith Carradine

We're the franchise that has given away 2 first rounders on Ricky (not playing) Williams, a second rounder for A.J. (Philly got him back for nothing) Feely, Duante (Can't play or win) Culpepper, and Robert (Injured and cut) Edwards. We also spent a second rounder on some forgetable no longer playing linebacker (Eddie Moore), gave up a 6th for Joey (Not here any more and free agent signing at Carolina) Harrington and so on. Of course they're going to hold out for something rediculous. Every GM on the planet want's a date with the Dolphins, we're easy.

Was there a flame at the end of your pipe? :sidelol:

Larry Johnson is special.... but, coming off of a brutal year and considering he'll be wanting a fat contract soon..... I'd say pass.

I don't want to pay Johnson for what he did in KC.

But, I DID consider a Johnson scenario with Ronnie involved before I posted. ;)

Isn't this like the 9th time they've said this??? "It will be resolved this week." It'll probably happen some time under the radar and it will pop up on that ticker line on sports center or something.

Also, as far as annointing Mueller as some expert wheeler dealer, well I'll reserve judgement. Frankly, I'm a little worried about the team he has put together. It'll either be great or a complete and utter disaster.

I would think it has to be a conditional pick which essentially is the only way for both teams to get a fair deal IMO.

I don't think we traded for Robert Edwards when he played for us. Are you maybe thinking of Lamar Gordon?

It's ridiculous, not rediculous.

:shakeno:

You do realize we've switched general managers, right...
