Did anyone just see that sportscenter? There was a question to mort and a poll on espn.com 58.2% do not think the pats will win the AFC east, and mort agreed. I know what people think means virtually nothing, but the pats run is over lets face it. The only thing they have is their QB, their kicking game is going to suck, they have no run game, their only good reciever is in a hold out, their secondary is extremely suspect, and their team overall is getting old. We are gonna take them out and wear the crown for a long time.

I agree. Pats suck. They also lost more coaches.

It wil be tough to take over the Pats but I think we can do it.
I don't think it wil be that tough. Every year it seems we split and are always a pain for them. With the team we have now with the exception of our secondary it should be a walk in the park to overtake them.

Did anyone else see the live update where Rick Spielman signed Dwight Smith to a 5 year $15 million contract with a $3.5 million signing bonus?

God am I glad Rick Spielman is no longer our GM. I mean for cryin out loud...guy is replaced and cut by New Orleans a year after giving him a big contract. Leave it to Spielman to just jump in head first on a 5 year contract with nearly $4 million to sign for a SAFETY in LATE JULY, especially when the dude ran himself out of town after only a year on a nice contract.

Supposedly, Spielman really wanted Dwight Smith in Miami prior to 2005. Saban said no. LOL.

cmon people stop being homers and open your eyes......the Pats still have a good corps of players and one helluva coach.

dont let that 6 game win streak blind you. we lost to the Jets last year. THE JETS. and the browns beat us handedly. sure we beat denver and carolina whoopdee freaking doo. Our secondary is still shaky, we have a QB coming off 3 knee injuries in 2 years and is new to the system, a RB who has never been the exclusive running back for a team.

do not have blinders on people.

the only reason so people tend to disagree that we will overthrow the pats is just because they pure fact that they are the pats, they dont know more than that or what they have lost....the pats always play strong but i would deff favor us to take the east and it can deff be done/will be done

Looks like he didn't learn his lesson about over paying

To say the Pats suck is very ignorant. They are not the team they once were, but will still put up a good battle in the division. I think we will win it by a game or 2, but it won't be easy.

Yeah tell me about it, but not only that...what bothers me about it is here you're taking a guy that ran himself out of town after a year and you're paying him about as much or more than he got when he signed with New Orleans. Talk about jumping in head first. The Bucs, who he played with for four years, make no effort to keep the guy, then the Saints cut the guy in late July after having him only a year on a big contract...how well does Spielman know the guy? I mean, unless Childress has coached or recruited the guy before like Saban has with many players, then why are you jumping in head first with a very long term, above par contract, with a guy that's given you all kinds of blowup signs?
