Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano led all AFC East coaches at 88 percent for guiding his team to .500 for the first time despite myriad injuries. Sparano ranked fourth in the league behind Sean Payton, Ken Whisenhunt and Jim Caldwell.

You can't blame Sparano for losing to two now 10-0 teams. We really could've and should've won both of those games. (We had IND beat but our D blew it big time and we still had a chance at the end. There was also some controversial calls in the NO game to say the least). Damn shame. 7-3 would be great, but 6-4 would even be HUGE at this point. Also, the MIA/SD game was 3-3 at halftime and it was still a game until Pennington went down. The Chargers are now 7-3. All we can do at this point is keep winning and hoping for the best, @ Buffalo is up next. We have a difficult schedule to say the least but we're alive for another week at least.

I like Sparano, but he has made some very questionable decisions this year. No way he deserves to be rate that highly.

I love our coaching staff, expecially Sparano. He is smart, very orignized, and just has a great demenor. He is always in control. I think he is a good leader. The players seem to really like him and respect him. But i think they also no they have to do it his way. I just like his style. I hope he stays with us for a long time.

Sparano also didnt/doesnt have a dynamic QB or WR..
Fins were 1-15 with a new defense and a new offense
AFC East one of the toughest divisions in the NFL
IMO well deserved coaching rank

one thing with sparano, i wish he would step in when henning starts throwing the ball around. we did have the best runningback tandem in the league, why not use em.

Miami has been running a balanced attack all season. It doesn't matter how good your running backs are. You have to throw the ball. The defense can put more players in the box than the offense has players to block them. Throwing the ball keeps a defense honest. Also running backs take a pounding. It is possible to burn a running back out from over use.

Why not??? There isn't a coach in NFL that doesn't make a mistake.

Great preparation coach...Bad game day coach. Sparano makes at least one poor decision each game that over time will cost Miami wins.

If Sparano is the 4th best coach in the league, then....wait. Nevermind.

Considering some of our limitations on offense (almost zero production from our WR's and TE's) and our attempts to quickly make over our defense which is still very much a work in progress, he's done very well. In my opinion, being a successful head coach is 80% buy-in, 10% planning, 10% game day decisions. If the players dont buy into what you're giving them and the way you lead, nothing else matters (see: Cam Cameron), Tony Sparano has that rapport with his players, they like playing for the man and that's the biggest factor as a head coach, will your guys go to war for you? If they will, you'll be a playoff squad every year.
