Ok, we have Mike Richardson and Ray Ventrone Questionable with Concussions. You have the only other safety aside from Brandon Merriweather on the roster in James Sanders, a four-year guy who is 5-10.

You starting to see the weak spot? If you go down the list of DB's on their roster currently you have alot of no-names other than Jason Webster.

We should go four and five WR to start this game and show them some stuff out of that, especially since they may crowd the LOS for the wildcat.

I also think we should run the wishbone in some bunches and go back to 3-4 WR sets to really mix up their brains some more!

Then in second qtr and second half, start in with the Wildcat.

Thats my offensive gameplan. What say you? J

I say we don't have 5 active wide receivers on our roster :)

But Martin could be a workable substitution. Ginn, Camarillo, Bess, Martin and London might be a nice combination.

FWIW, Ventrone practiced fully on Friday. He's not exactly Champ Bailey though.

I think we are going to see some passing out of the Wildcat today.

I hope to see Ginn getting involved early to soften them up for the running game later on. Getting Camarillo the ball to move the chains is also vital!

J. Porter needs to get the pressure early and often on the defensive side of things!

I trust Henning will have a good game plan...of course when the play works everyone thinks it was a good call and when the play doesn't work everyone thinks it was a bad call

Ozzy rules!!

Um, we do have two TE's and Ricky and Cobbs who have been split out alot. You do not need to have WR's split out. And I think its kind of funny nobody has noticed we have run these formations alot. Everyone is so focused on the Wildcat that they do not recognize our other successes.

No doubt, but I think we should only rush 3 or 4 and go into 5 and 6 DB's alot. I think that is exactly what Belichick is going to do and sprinkle alot of Kevin Faulk on screens and dump offs.

If we come out with 4 and 5 wide to start the game off, that will get BB worried in a hurry. His DB's are a bunch of misfits w/ two concussions at safety. Concusions are a league problem with playing players who had Concussion in weeks prior.

M<e personally, I am hoping Ronnie gets one up the gut to kill whatever safety is there waiting for him!:woot:

New England's defense is slow.

Does anyone else think we could/should be running more screen passes to the backs? Cobbs had that 80 yard TD on a screen against Houston. Last week or 2 weeks ago Ricky had a ~15 yard gain on a screen. Other than that, I'm hard pressed to remember any HB screens we've ran (unless it was on like 3rd and 20).

Line Cobbs up at FB and Ronnie up at HB and run a screen to Cobbs. Or Ronnie at FB with Ricky at HB and run a screen to Ricky.

Also, I would like to see at least one reverse to Ginn tried.

The play we ran 3 times last week with Cobbs at FB where Pennington fakes a pitch left to Ronnie and hands it to Cobbs who takes it for a misdirection to the right... that could work too.

If their corners are playing off, run quick slants and curls to Ginn/Camarillo/Bess, and quick WR screens. If they are playing tight, take shots to Ginn a bit further down the field.

I also wouldn't mind seeing the Flea Flicker attempted again in the right situation. Like 2nd and 1 at midfield.

I envision Fasano having a big game, catching a lot of seam passes over the middle. Something like 6 catches for 70 yards.

The key to this game will be our ability to control New Englands defensive front. This is where their best defensive players are and we dominated them in week 3. They will be fired up to show us that it was a fluke. If it was, we lose, if it wasn;t we kick their butts again. I think it will be closer either way, their offense has been playing much better since Cassel has setlled in a bit.

Also, I'm guessing NE will try to take the short stuff away and force Chad to beat them down the field. Pennington smarts and ability to do this will be key.

I have a feeling that we are going to need 30+ points to get this done. I liked "FinFan54's" idea of showing them the "wishbone" set. Even if we didn't run a play off of it, Bellicheat & company would just freak and scramble to try and figure out what the hell we are doing.

They are a little older, but are still a very good defence against the run.If they get us into 3rd and long, then sadly we all know our reputation there.I think we're going to have to keep it simple using screens and Fasano/Martin to get us first downs.

I think Penny is gonna pick apart their defense, I'm not so sure if our running game will be crazy today, but we'll see

I disagree with the points....provided we can get regular pressure on Cassel. We can win this game with 20-24 pts....again, assuming we can pressure Cassel regularly. Joey is going to have to "terminate with extreme prejudice."

:ponder:

I don't know about the wishbone, but I agree with spreading them out. We should put some mileage on those aging joints.:fogey:
