My Dolphins rep called me today to see how I am doing and if my experience with the new membership stuff is a good one so far. :brewskis:
We talked playoff tickets, playoffs, Dolphins and I took the chance to just dig a little.

New Jersey Jets @ Wembley: they did get negative feedback about this move (surprise surprise). But a lot of the fans they could calm down by explaining their reasons for that move. Our out of conference home schedule is more attractive because the assumption is made that the Jets are going to suck anyways. :sidelol:
They figured that having Houston, Indianapolis, Dallas, NY Giants and the AFC North would give us a better home schedule with Luck, Manning, Romo, Flacco, Rothlisberger etc appearing here - rather than the Jets with whoever and whatever.

Stadium Update:
There is currently heavy underground work being done. The tunnel system and prep work for the offseason.
This offseason the entire 100 level will be redone. That means this section will move closer to the field. In addition to that the stadium receives all new seating. Say good bye to orange after the season. I assume that the tunnel system will be finished as well and, looking at the released pictures, the player entrance will be moved to the corner.

Next offseason the Clublevel will be redone and the roof will be put on.

There will be a new official update in approx 4 weeks.

Just a few tidbits.

You mean AFC North.

They can spin it however they want , it was a very poor decision for the football team. Yes , the jets will more than likely suck next year, but you just don't handicap your team like that and take away one of the three most important homes on the schedule. Ross has done a decent job this past year as a whole with the Dolphins organization but it just seems like he can't avoid smashing his thumb with a hammer when he gets involved with the football team.

:rotfl1: at the Jets, but how does that work? Were we actually able to get preferential scheduling on some of those other games because we were willing to give up the division game? That's the only way that I could possibly even begin to stop loathing the move.

Oh I agree. I am not that easily satisfied. I made my 'unhappiness' clear about that.

He said to me what we all heard before: in order to get a Superbowl we had to give up a home game. When I asked why not Houston? He gave me that explanation.

But you are right we should get more out of it than just a Superbowl down here. Because unless we make it the Dolphins fans have nothing to gain from a Superbowl in South Florida.

Seems like every team wants the Super Bowl now. Ross should just get in line instead of giving into their demands. It may be another 31 years before Miami sees another one.

Well, let me say this: This season, we got New England at home in September at 1pm. I know that the Patriots did NOT want that. We also got Buffalo @ Buffalo early in the season, and I know we didn't want to play there late in the year. We also got an 'away' game in London vs Oakland that was FAR more advantageous for us than it was for the 'home' team. When I looked at the schedule this season I thought to myself that the NFL did us a couple of favors there.

So, if playing ball with this London nonsense every few years is the price we pay for that kind of consideration, I can live with it.

Still not a fan, though.

We need to stop being a wussy team about not wanting to play in cold weather. COLD WEATHER IS FOOTBALL WEATHER!!!

Says the guy living in a State where -20F is considered a nice summer day.

We need to stop being a wussy team about not wanting to play in cold weather. COLD WEATHER IS FOOTBALL WEATHER!!!

I heard just the other day a former player (defensive lineman) say that the cold and snow is not what football players like to play in. Thought that was interesting. He preferred sunshine and warm weather.

Miami in November might be just about perfect for most players
