After having my hopes up high I realize the fins coaching staff failed again this year in upgrading the center position. It couldnt be more evidnet last night when the OL counldnt get a decent push up front. This problem wont be fixed by throwing money at it. Long and Thomas looked very strong too bad its a 5 man line.

what upsets me the most is throwing big cash around.

Singletary could fix it!!!!

My concerns over Grove are quickly descending into panic. Hurry up and prove me wrong you highly paid sob.

Jake Grove's block-win % was over 90% last year. Against many of the same teams the Dolphins faced no less.

It'll become evident over the season that Grove is better....(assuming he stays healthy).

I hope you're wrong but last night tells otherwise. One thing for sure, at this point, it seems safe to say grove is NOT a dominate force in the middle. Right now it appears he’s going to need help against the really big dudes like Wilfork etc.

I say give it time

he is an upgrade, not Dwight Stephenson but a better fit for us

3 games into the season we should know what we have

Where is that evident??? EVERYONE on the line was looking like crap. Why not single out Long, Thomas, Carey, and Smiley as well....with the exception of Thomas they're all well payed as well.

It's too early to make this assumption considering Miami average over 5 yards a carry against a good Carolina team last week. The entire team played lack luster last night. It takes time for an offense to gell. Teams generally tend to play a very bland offense during the preseason. We'll have a better idea a few games into the regular season.

It was "evident" if you watched the game and noted the serious LACK of movement in the center of the line. Thomas created movement but that’s just about it. And others playing poorly doesn’t give a pass to Grove anyway. That’s just silly.

I think most realists knew he wasn't much of an upgrade when the signing occurred

But it gives Smiley, Carey, and Long a pass????

They all looked like crap....

come on man, you know that stat is BS from just watching 1 Oakland game from last year

Just as much as this thread is from watching 1 dolphins pre-seaon game this yr.

How many times is the sky going to fall?
Apparently a few more times.
