I just read on Profootball Talk that a new CBA agreement is in the works and it will push back the start of free agency a week. Another week of rumors and speculation. Now we have to wait until March 10th to get things going.

Ill wait a week as long as the deal gets done

The CBA is the most important thing to the integrity of the game

I don't mind them pushing it back one week. I remember at one point they were talking about pushing it back until April. That would have been too tough for teams to get things done in a short period of time before the draft.

Good news about the deal possibly getting done, bad news that we might have more then a week to wait before FA starts.

In the long run, signing a player like Brees will be much easier with a new CBA in place. Hopefully though, the extra time before Free Agency doesn't give San Diego time to rethink letting Brees go.

Free Agency may not be delayed. It seems like they are confident they may get a deal done by the Wednesday deadline. :)

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is optimistic that a new collective bargaining agreement can be reached by Wednesday's deadline.

"There is no internal issue in the NFL, none that would have prevented us from having a deal done this weekend," Jones said Saturday. "It's between the league and the players association."

A day after NFL Players Association president Gene Upshaw told agents that a deal would not likely get done, Jones said major progress has been made.
