ok... who starts at LB in the 4-3? Does Crowder start or Sparagan... the article on the front page says that he starts in the 3-4 but doesnt mention the 4-3 alignment... If Crowder has earned a true starting spot in all alignments that will be very exciting. That would be 3 starters out of our first 4 picks with Roth burried on the depth chart... I didnt think Crowder would truley start by the beginning of the season but would end up coming in half way through the season... Anyone know or have any thoughts or comments about Crowder?

I Like The Idea Of Channing Starting, Simply Because He Wants Too Prove Himself. He Did Look Good In The Preseason Games That I Saw. Plus I Love Having Rookie Starters Because We Can Do Anything We Want With Them, There Is No Nfl Game Tape To View Of Therer Stlyes, Habit, Or Tendencies.

Never really thought about it like that...

I like Crowder, he is a big, fast and instictive linebacker who seems to always be around the ball and could be a playmaker on defense this year.

I think that Spragan will start in the 4-3 though and give us a bit of experience in there, it won't hurt Crowder to learn the ropes in the 3-4 and then get his starting position in the 4-3 halfway through the season at the expense of Seau with injury or him playing better than Spragan.

Also JerseyFinFan23, you don't have to put capital letters that the start of every word...

How many weeks you think until he starts in the 4-3?

We have to replace Moore somehow. A large LB backup is a must.

I think Spragan will do well enough to start in the 4-3. (If he is starting that is)

I think that Seau will get injured and that is how Crowder will get his starting job in the 4-3. (If he hasn't already got it)

Don't know when though, I don't want to jinx it but it is pretty hard to stay healthy at 36 years old. (I think he's that old)

From what I understand, Crowder is taking middle in the 3-4 and is switching positions with Seau in the 4-3...as I understand it.

He may be switching with Seau in the 4-3, but it's just been reported that he is starting over Donnie Spragan (could be just in the 3-4 though), I think that we will be seeing a lot Seau, Thomas, and Crowder in the 4-3 and in the 3-4, it's going to be Seau, Thomas, Crowder, and JT I believe.

I'm just happy that Saban found a way to get such a clearly talented player on the field.
He is an inside linebacker, however Zach is still a long ways from hanging it up. He is a "starter" in the 3-4, but has played a substantial amount of OLB in preseason. He is as talented as he is versatile, it is encouraging to see him coming through already.

I am an optimist.
Go Phins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
