SportingNews.com reports Miami Dolphins C Drew Mormino is slated to start at the right guard position this year.
 
Wouldn't be too surprised if it happened. I think Sprano knows who he wants where already. Whoever he picks I think will do the best job. Hopefulley our line looks something like this:

Jake Long
Justin Smiley
Samson Satele
Drew Mormino/Shaun Murphy
Vernon Carey

I just cant see Mormino beating out Murphy...Murphys way better...stronger,bigger,better blocker.....maybe its the whole "experience" factor...but I doubt if Mormino wins the opener,he wont finish the season as starter...

well you never know how murphy will fare out in the nfl... on the other hand mormino doesnt have much experience either... he was on IR last year wasnt he?
 
I think this makes no sense since none of these guys has been seen in pads yet. I think Murphy is the frontrunner.
 
I think it's wide open. From everything I've read it doesn't sound like we can count Thomas out.
 
Mormino, according to his draft scouting report in 07, was supposedly nothing more than a backup at BEST... Mormino was a 6th round pick, Murphy 4th round pick...Plus Mormino has durability issues, Murphy, up until this point doesnt..Murphys bigger
 
I think since we traded up to get Murphy and basically traded away L Booker for him, Murphy is the front runner. Who knows at this point, just as long as the best one starts.
 
i thought mormino might get the nod at LG, leaving smiley at RG, his preferred position. at this point, i don't think any of these things have come close to being decided.
 
Since when do we have one rookie camp and the Sporting News annoints Mormino the starter. I didn't know the Sporting News was part of our coaching staff
 
well, if this is true, then it means that Mormino has impressed in one way or another. instead of just giving the job to one of their guys in Murphy, they give it to the better player, so i hope that's the case.
 
its only to keep competition alive and murphy or thomas to step up BIG TIME. just cuz they got drafted by BP and 4th dont mean hes the man is the signal they wna send out.
