State Of The Dolphins Roster
Chris Shashaty, Phins.com - [Full Article]

Chris Shashaty of Phins.com takes a look at the Miami Dolphins offensive and defensive starter breakdowns as of today and talks about players that are guaranteed a roster spot and players that may be on the bubble. Some of the bigger names that could find themselves released include WR Chris Chambers and TE Randy McMichael due to big cap costs combined with disappointing performances.

what in the good name of eddie moore ?

no way in hell we release mcmicheal maybe trade him but cutt him, no way in adams good jelly do we cut both guys.

i wish , i just wised that we could draft te olsen and wr jarrett and cut booker, hagan and vick .
as for oline i think our oline just needs a center and left tackle in order to be good so i say
bring in some darn firepower at te and wr and we will rock and roll.

My fellow fin fans, the entire league has seen the state of our roster, AND IT IS STRONG!!!

Yes, McMichael has trade value in this market. The TE free agents and draft class are bleak. You have one underclassman who ran a good 40 at the combine and that is about it. Miller has good hands but none of them have had an illustrious career and there is noone even anywhere near close to what Vernon Davis was last year.

so if we get rid of McMichael/Booker/Chambers...we save ourselves 16 million?? if so, i hate to say it...but im all for it. im sure we could get ourselves at least a 3rd, 4th, 4th for them....maybe 5th? we can add 2 rookie receivers, a rookie tight end. justin peelle can start...he did decently last year. im tired of inconsistent players...yea those 3 guys have the ability to be great, but they wont do it. so im all for trading them for draft picks and getting young guys...

Welker is the only definite keeper at WR?? How can Ricky Williams be a definite keeper when he has yet to be reinstated by NFL?

i am not trying to be disrepsectful to my fellow fin fans but i am worried with some of the moves you guys want to make.

exp. 1 if we get rid of randy, chris and welker who will replace them . infatable women with jerseys on them.

exp. 2 some dont want to add any wrs but they want to cut wrs chambers and te mcmichael.

exp . 3 dont want randy moss but everybody thinks hagan is the next o.j mcduffy. yea right and i am paul warfield

exp 4 everybody seems to want only sec guys when there are other conference players who are studs.

exp 5 people are counting on ricky and morris who both could get suspended again. i hope not but its not unthinkable.

exp 6 nobody wanta a real playmaker but wants to invest so much into the defense and oline when that really isnt the biggest needs.

This writer is a joke..

QB: Keepers are Lemon and Culpepper
RB: Keepers are Brown... Williams and Morris are one joint away from either a year suspension or a lifetime ban from the NFL. C'mon.
WR: Only keep Welker? That right there validates why he is a joke.
TE: Keep no one, all new tight ends, yeah, good idea... Not really.
OT: Carey ... keep, why not keep Alabi or resign D-Mac?
OG: Shelton isn't that great, any LT switching to RG should improve slightly. Let go of Toledo? Please..
C: Hadnot is a keeper, McKinney is too much as a back up

DE: Keep them all, maybe add another.
DT: Keep Holliday and Traylor. Plus the young guns.
LBs: Crowder and Spragan keep, ZT is a given.
CB: Keep Allen and Daniels. Goodman didn't impress me. Nor did Lehan or Jackson.
S: Keep Hill Bell and Allen for sure.
K/P: Bring back Jones, maybe keep Mare, depending on draft situation.

exactly... I really don't think we are one killer dt away from being contenders... I am pretty sure we can prolly find a couple a decent interior d-lineman in that 5 or 6 deep group that we have associated with the club now..I really don't feel the same way about the current reciever corps...
