Except Philbin said it was purely a "Philbin only move". Philbin reportedly had to talk Ross into it.It stinks of a Ross only move.
shhhh... haters gonna hate.Except Philbin said it was purely a "Philbin only move". Philbin reportedly had to talk Ross into it.
Man...Now I gotta get HBO![]()
If it can hurt the team, it can help as well. I don't agree it will hurt the team at all but you have to talk about both (not one without the other).
The only plausible reason I can think of for this is that Philbin thinks it will put added pressure on players to step up and perform under additional scrutiny? Otherwise, total business move.Except Philbin said it was purely a "Philbin only move". Philbin reportedly had to talk Ross into it.
This will help ticket sales. That is about all it will do for the football team. Add this to "Star" part owners and all games being later in the day or at night for the fan's comfort.
As real fans, we will enjoy watching it however.
There is no way that our new coaches wanted this.
P.S as far as us being "exciting"......We were like the 20th team they asked. In fact, they were getting desperate to get anyone.
I wonder how much Ross is getting paid for it.

Admittly my comment is opinion. However, you seem to be quoting Philbin.
http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...o-fans-by-hosting-hard-knocks.html#more-18095Here’s my honest take on the Dolphins doing Hark Knocks: It’s a great idea for this team considering all of their issues, which are mostly perception related.
We will either discover they are as dumb as most fans think, or the organization will gain some credibility. Those were my thoughts back in January when whispers about Hard Knocks first surfaced.
The only concern I had about the Dolphins hosting the HBO Reality Series was whether or not it was fair to Philbin?
Was opening up his first training camp the right approach for this rookie head coach?
Ross apparently had the same concerns, and tried to talk Philbin out of it.
“The decision was a football decision. Made by our football operations staff. It was supported by our owner, but in no way shape or form did he force us to make the decision,” Philbin said. “It’s a football show, a show that will showcase our players….It’s a great opportunity for us to connect with our fans. The people who aren’t going to be able to connect with us on a daily basis.”
If Philbin’s fine with it, and he swears he is, then why should anyone else have an issue?
