While our offense is doing fine statistically, our defense is struggling. Here is the season rank for our Defense among the 32 teams:
Rush Defense (doing well!):
9th total rush yards per game and 9th avg. yards per rush
Pass Defense (among the worst in the league)
28th total pass yards per game and 25th avg. yards per pass
Total Defense (Bottom 1/2 due to poor pass defense)
20th total yards per game and 24th avg. yards per play.
We are decent at not giving up a lot of points being tied for 15th in that category.

When you pair our near bottom ranking special teams stats with these poor defensive stats, I think it is fair to say that the offense is carrying us to a winning season thus far.

Looks like we need to address the following areas in the off-season:
1) DB (need a couple so that we will have depth for spread offenses)
2) Either DL or LB (need another pass rusher, or 2 if TP can't take orders)
3) A true #1 WR (Ginn will be OK but having a Moss like threat would be huge - and who knows if Camarillo will recover from his injury)
4) OL (pass and rush blocking is very sporatic - a good DL causes us problems)

I would love for us to get a chance to draft Malcolm Jenkins from Ohio State with the first pick. I saw him against Michigan and he has a chance to be a top 5 CB in this league. I just hope we get a shot at him

That was the one area the Tuna did not seem to address in the off season. We didn't draft any D-Backs. I think our O-line and D-line was our first priority. I think we should draft a CB, a Safety, and a LB with our first rounder and two second riders. Then go with the BPA.

I look top see parcells go after at least 1 big FA in those positions.

We also need to address WRs but we need to go defense early. CB #1 priority if we dont get a big FA and i would go with malcolm jenkins OR vante Davis if they are there if not go OLB.

2 words, Nnamdi Asomugha. The best cover corner since Deion Sanders except he can tackle and comes up in run support. He truly takes half the field away from the opponent.
